@scripter-of-kingdoms Cool!!!! Fanfic is a lot of fun!!!!! I’ve only written two fanfic short stories and they were based on The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen. Maybe I’ll share them here soon. 🙂

Fall in love with JesusAugust 15, 2021 at 5:26 pm #103458FINALLY A TOPIC ON THIS!! You’re going to see a lot of Tron, Warriors, and Star Wars stories….
Most of my stories end up being fanfics…….

August 16, 2021 at 11:24 am #103462update to the fanfic topic: I stopped writing the artemis fowl fanfic I had started a while ago. It was too cringy for me. BUT I did get the protagonist (or rather, the first idea of my protagonist) for my crime novel out of it!

August 17, 2021 at 9:27 pm #103558@keilah-h Thanks! Haha, I changed the protag a TON… aged her up, like, seven years and changed her ethnicity. But her appearance remained remarkably similar!

i'll make the winter now my homeAugust 19, 2021 at 4:57 pm #103649@scripter-of-kingdoms That’s still cool. I’ve done similar with some of my characters–the idea for them came from a character from, say, Star Wars or Marvel, but I changed their name or personality (or both) and made them my own character.

August 19, 2021 at 5:11 pm #103651For my five-book Jurassic World fanfic, I drew covers for Blue, Delta, Echo, Charlie, and the Indoraptor (who’s a good guy in the story; I named him Shadow). Only the fifth book is actually completely written (the others are only half-finished–I need to get back to writing them), but I’m kind of proud of it. Each one’s name had to do with whose perspective it was from: Deep Blue, Raptor’s Echo, Delta’s Point, Charlie’s Calling, and Rising Shadow, meant to be read in that order. They were about a war between the Spinosaurs and the Tyrannosaurs (two real dino species), while the Raptor Pack and the humans were sorta caught in the middle. Oh yeah, and the dinosaurs could talk.

August 20, 2021 at 1:16 pm #103685Don’t ask why I wrote this.
Some clone trooper dragons which didn’t carry out Order 66 and their new families are forced to hide from the Empire. But one did succumb to the order, and the whole wing, or group, pays the price. The story is told from the perspective of the cyborg CloneWing, Echo.
A CloneWing’s Wish: A Star Wars/Wings of Fire fanfiction
Nine adult dragons and five dragonets slept under the stars.Scratch that, eight adult dragons. One was awake.
Echo’s white scales and silver mechanical parts glittered in the moonlight like an opal in a cave. He stared up at the two moons of the planet he was on. They were like eyes, watching him.
Echo shuddered as he remembered the other pairs of eyes that’d hunted him. Crosshair’s eyes, pinning him to the wall, dark lasers boring into him.
And Feather’s eyes, anguished discs of chocolate-brown, when she’d realized the dragon she’d loved wasn’t coming back.
Echo wished he could bring Crosshair back too. Their wing (group of dragons) just wasn’t the same without him. They all thought that, even Omega, who didn’t even know him that well. But for all the powers they had, none of the dragons in the wing could undo what Tarkin and the Kaminoan dragons had done without killing the very dragon they’d be trying to save.
Echo turned back toward the camp to keep watching his friends. This was necessary, so that no one tried to go after them while they slept. But it was humorous seeing his friends in the strangest of positions.
Hunter and Liberty were so intertwined it was hard to tell where one ended and the other began, especially in the darkness. Their dragonet Torrent was somewhere in between them. Omega was biting Tech’s tail, while the smart blue-white dragon reached for Star’s spiked back as he stretched. Star herself was making a long furrow in the floor with her claws. Evidently Wrecker had done something similar, but he was now curled up in a ball that made him look much smaller than he actually was. Bullet slept beside him, in a rather normal position compared to the others, and their dragonet Rifle was draped over her. Rivet was on her back, pawing at something in her dreams, while her and Tech’s dragonet, Spark, had somehow made herself comfortable (or at least it looked that way) into a hollow in the ground. And Feather slept a little away from the others, her tail lashing in her sleep, searching for something that wasn’t there.
Echo was about to walk away when two eyes opened behind Feather. Piercing brown eyes that startled all who looked into them.
Like Crosshair’s eyes, Echo thought. The dragon the eyes belonged to slinked out of his hiding place. This dragon had light brown hair with only a streak of gray, not fully gray, and his scales were more than one color. But it was easy to see that Crossfire was the son of (and obviously named after) the traitor, although he had his mother’s attributes as well.
Feather’s eyes opened as her son walked by. Her gaze was fixed on him until he curled up to sleep on a rock ledge, his wings tented over his head.
Echo flew up to a ledge where he could survey the whole camp. He kept his eyes on it, unflinching like the moons above him.
He was imagining a world where the Republic still protected its dragons, where the JediWings still flew, where he and his friends could raise their families in peace instead of hiding like they were now. Where Crosshair and Feather could be together again.
Who knows? Perhaps one day this CloneWing’s wish will be fulfilled.

September 6, 2021 at 1:50 pm #104210@nanisnook I know you might enjoy a Wings of Fire/The Bad Batch combination….
@scripter-of-kingdoms Do you like dragons and that kind of thing?Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
September 6, 2021 at 2:56 pm #104212@keilah-h Ehh… not usually my cup of tea, but I’ve read the first Wings of Fire book. Not my fave thing in the world but it was good.

i'll make the winter now my homeSeptember 6, 2021 at 3:05 pm #104213@scripter-of-kingdoms That’s all right. I LOVE dragons and reptiles, but not everyone does. Although I do agree, the first Wings of Fire books were good. I don’t like the newer ones as much (until they added a dragon who can talk to humans), but I enjoyed the first five.

September 6, 2021 at 3:16 pm #104214Mostly what I like to do is combine animals (especially dragons) with people. This is the main character of the short story I posted above, dragon wings and tail and all. (and although he is a cyborg, he has a human face underneath his helmet.)
