I feel like I’m a little too far in my WIP to give snippets w/o being confusing….but I have this little side project going just for the fun of it….it’s not exactly RP format *shrugs* *hopes that’s okay*

Ya know…I hate to do this…but….
Cape flows majestically in the wind as I stand across from the drawbridge. I pull out my pen, which is mightier then the sword.
In reality….This protection squad…it shall never work…
For everything we are protecting them from….

And our writings.
Thus…we cannot protect them, and in truth, or keeping them from truly living….

Verity and Payton – lost in the woods together…need I say more?
“If we’d turned right when I said turn right, we wouldn’t be here.”
“Yeah, well why would I want to turn right when left was obviously the way to go?”
“It wasn’t the RIGHT way to go then?”
Payton gave her a sigh and his best major eye roll. Bad enough he had to be stuck in this creepy old forest. What turned it from a nuisance to a (almost) catastrophe was that his only companion was a 10-year-old, red-headed, feisty girl who was more concerned with cracking terrible puns than escaping.
He doubted the word “serious” was even a part of her vocabulary.
Great.
“Verity, could you please just let me think here?”
She flopped to the ground under a sprawling oak tree with a huff.
“Whatever you say, Pate.”
“Don’t call me that.”
“Why not? You look like you could use a nickname.”
“Well, I don’t need one from you, okay? We’re stuck here in the middle of nowhere – “
Verity burst into another one of those giggling fits and leaped to her feet, a mischievous sparkle filling her brilliant aquamarine eyes.
“We’re not in the middle of nowhere – we’re in the middle of SOMEWHERE. We just don’t KNOW WHERE! Get it?”
If he had to put up with this the whole time, it was going to be a very long day…why did these kinds of things have to happen to him of all people?
