I’ve been thinking about Matthew 12:43-45 and the unoccupied house.
May it never return to peek inside
And find my heart swept clean, unoccupied
Let its abuse, its dark, its lies
Wander deserts fore’er; Lord, make it die
Come, Lord Jesus, come abide
My eyes Your threshold
My ears Your windows
My mind Your home
My heart Your abode
May it and its seven friends all fall
Never knowing inside my walls
‘Cause there’s no room, no not a stall,
When Christ is magnified and fills all
My door is open. Lord, fill these halls
Come, Lord Jesus, and welcome home
Guard me with peace
Safe from the beast
May its knocks cease
Bolt as You please
Come, Lord Jesus, abide in me

Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding, Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, Otherwise they will not come near to you.” I think that God won’t drag us into following Him. A beloved horse is one that comes to its master happily. Willingly. I want to be more like that.
As I pray, I am uncertain
Of my path You will to take;
I’m afraid of moving onward
And the trust, the leap of faith
The road that I will travel
May have rocks
Or smooth green grass.
Yet this I know, so I will follow:
You have blazed
And walk this path.
Father will, that I may follow
Your lead by Your great grace.
Not with rope nor bit nor bridle;
Nudge me sure with guides of strength.
While no faith will make me waver,
May my tarrying
Soon to pass.
I’ll have faith and so to follow
As You walk
Me on this path.
Stepping out and seeking mission,
My Lord is all I need.
Help me be about Your harvest
Planted from true Gospel seed.
Your grace in me unsquandered
Let my life
Live so to prove.
In Your will, now I’ll follow
Your path blazed
Prepared to use.

May 19, 2023 at 5:36 am #144072Chosen bride, My dear beloved,
She I’ve loved before the start,
I intend to keep My promise:
Beyond death ne’er shall we part.Do not fear for I’ll be with you
In the good times and the bad,
Times you’re sick or free from illness,
Joy made full or filled with sad.Acts of saints sewn in your linen,
Pure and fine and righteous bright
Clothe yourself to be ready.
My house is built and filled with light.“Amen and Hallelujah!”
May the Father say it’s time
Ready, bride, to Me be married?
Prove faithful; dear, be Mine.May 25, 2023 at 5:53 pm #145135@janellebelovedpig Oo missed these earlier, but so beautiful, I love them 💕
I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.

May 25, 2023 at 6:01 pm #145141I’ve been doing a thirty day poetry writing challenge on my writergram and now, 25 days in with only a few more to go I thought I’d share a couple of my favs!
Vines, fingers, relationships
Thorny tethers, one
Instruments of feeling, two
Egregiously aggressive emotion inducers, three
Vines
Fingers
Relationships
One, Two, Three.
Tangled, twisted, gnarled? All of the above.Pristine wings spread wide I take a breath, prepare to fly, then- My own competence now I doubt; should I make this venture at all lest I besmirch these immaculate tools of flight-
Hesitate,
Second guess,
I wonder
Then again,
Whoever heard of a bird
who wouldn’t fly for fear of dirtying his feathers? My papa met an angel once
an ethereal seraph.
She had no wings
(well, none that he could see)
rather, it was her golden heart that leaked proof of her divinityPolychromatic hues of green and gold
slashed through the beams that were her eyes;
Her tresses, soft and silken,
matched the sun in perfect shade. He swore her smile
celestial in all its splendor
was laced with supernatural force;
their attraction, magically magnetic,
left naught but for nature to run its course. My papa met an angel once,
and though she still denies it to this day
My mama knows he’ll never see her
in any other way.I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.

May 27, 2023 at 12:34 am #145358In the Before
The very first days
The days You spoke the word
and the world was made
Wisdom was there
Building away
Building the way that her Master proclaimed.
Here in the now
These very days
The days I feel silly and can’t see His face
Wisdom’s still here
building away
Working on renos for the Master to stay.
And in my mind
She’s making a place
A place that will prove the wonders of grace.

June 1, 2023 at 9:17 pm #145926@janellebelovedpig Aw thx! <3
I seriously love your spiritual poems. They flow so smoothly and read so well! I seriously think you should consider submitting them here for publication 👀 -> https://unlocked.org/writers-guidelines/ <- I write devotionals for this sometimes, and they also publish poetic forms with biblical messages. I’ve only ever submitted two poems to be published by them, but both were accepted. They tend to feature a good bit of poetry for the daily devotion, so I think you’d have a chance if you’re interested! I feel like so many people could be blessed by your words 🙂
And this goes to the rest of y’all too! Tho some of y’alls poems might exceed the word count… lollll.

June 4, 2023 at 9:15 pm #146238Lost Love
This is from my heartache knowing two dear sisters in Christ were going through the pain of having said goodbye to loved ones whom they had held very near to their hearts.
When love’s lost
It takes with it a heavy cost
So full of love
For those God gave from above.
This love so fills
That it bubbles up and spills.
Overflowing
Beautifully overwhelming.
When you’ve partaken
Of a sweet treasure from heaven.
Yet time is short
Taken away
From earth’s reach to Heaven’s beauty
Time’s like a snail.
And your soul lets forth a great wail.
Your heart’s shattered
And your strength is torn and tattered.
It’s pieces fall
One couldn’t hope to gather them all
Hope then does depart
There’s One who knows
A blanket of comfort bestows.
He sees the stain
Feels weight of eternity’s pain
It broke His heart
To see mankind from Him depart.
Yet loved enough
To put it all on Himself
But great Thou art!
Simply believe
And freely His comfort receive.
He gathers up
Each shard giving slivers of hope
Rearranging
For the masterpiece He’s making.
A mosaic
Of colors replaces the black.
Makes mayhem art.
There is beauty
That comes from the sin’s tyranny
From greatest pain
Comes an even greater gain
Learning to trust
Even when your heart has burst
Accepting change
Not staying tied in the cage
Frees the chained heart
When love’s lost
It takes with it a heavy cost
