Add a puppy! The MC can rescue the puppy, but puppies are illegal so he has to hide it from the government and the previous owner who was going to kick it. *Glares at that certain person* Anyway… This is a great conflict idea! 🐶 But, if you wanted conflicts…
I seems that a friend of the MC has stolen (wronged, harmed, Etc.) them. When they haven’t they were framed and the MC walks into the antagonist’s trap because of it.
One character has a pet spider, but another hates spiders. (Or pig, chicken, dog, cat, panda, mouse, frog, monkey.)
Everyone wants the last cookie… *grins*
