Klethen will accept help if it’s offered, but he probably won’t ask.

        Klethen

“Vithén, Glace.” Klethen said. He watched as Izre jumped through the portal in the ceiling. “Anyone have any ideas how we’re going to get up aghí? Because the same way won’t work, I can’t open another right now.”

        Svlys

Izre had come back, but the rest were still in the other room. Svlys stuck her head through the hole in the wall. The world flipped and her hair fell down. “You stuck?” She asked.

“Er, yes.” Klethen said from bellow, and then added, “Thíya, the portal is going to cut your head off if you’re not careful.”

Svlys quickly withdrew her head. “They’re stuck.” She informed the others with her, “Do we help them, or do we just leave them there?”

          Colesco

Whistling, Cole strode down the hall, hands behind his back, eyes darting here and there. Callipsa floated behind him, still seething. Not for any particular reason, just because it felt good. They turned into a large doorway in the hall, which opened into another hall. The dining hall. They were alone. It seemed.

                Glace

Glace sighed. Ya know, the downside to Microtech is you get a lot of questions afterwards. He held his arm up, and seemed to do nothing else at all but suddenly, he flopped onto the floor where they had started out. At least that’s working, sort of. He held his hand down for Klethen.

                “Take it or leave it.”

I feel like I have not been doing Glace justice, so if he starts changing a little, that’s why.

                    Klethen

Klethen hesitated momentarily before gripping Glace’s hand. “Vithén.” He said, “Thank you.”

                      Glace

He pulled Klethen up, but no sooner had he down so, than he began walking down the hall again, as silent as a shadow.

                        Krenna

Krenna looked up at the portal, then ran toward the wall, jumping and planting one her blades into the wall. She pushed off and went sailing towards the middle of the ceiling. She grabbed the edge of the portal and pulled herself through, rolling to her feet on the other side.

Quick! Get them to the dining hall before they fight again!

I don’t care if we just jump them there.

Okay, I’ll write a transition there real quick. We can give them some time to talk before the king comes to talk.

                                Izre

The seven of them moved down the hallway in single file, eventually reaching the doorway to a large room. Four tables ran horizontally down the length of the room and were lined with chairs. Colesco and Callipsa were already there.

There was no food on the table, but Izre couldn’t (and didn’t need to) eat the stuff, so she didn’t care. She also doubted the chairs would hold her, so she knocked it aside—a bit harder than intended: it sailed several feet before shattering on the ground.

Whatever. She was sure whoever owned this place could afford a new one.

                                  cool cool

                                  Colesco

                                  A few seconds earlier…

Cole set his quiver on the table and began pulling out arrows, inspecting them. “So, we just wait here? Until when?”

Callipsa put her head in her hands and pulled the cloak hood down farther. “For the last time, yes! Until whenever! It really doesn’t matter!” She sighed. She spoke quieter, but Cole’s sensitive ears heard her private meditations. “Why did I get stuck with an idiot! I thought he’d be like his little brother, but no! He’s a fool. Does some flips, shoots some bulls-eyes, and the Queen says, ‘That’s the boy for you,’ and I agree! What I wouldn’t give for a sharp dagger right now…”

Cole, startled, wondering who the dagger point was for, said the first thing that popped into his head. “So, we just wait here?”

A chair flew past his head. Cole ducked. It crashed into the wall, shattering like glass. The others had arrived.

With a wizard’s apprentice glaring fire and sword at him, a mysterious king bending walls to his will, seven moody and unpredictable superhumans with not the best intentions, and his quiver empty and his arrows scattered, Cole suddenly felt very small. And for the first time, he wished his little brother was there.
