February 22, 2018 at 7:10 am #64443@daeus XD Yeah, I guess it was kind of sudden. Haha! Yeah, Danielle the Dragon isn’t exactly working, is it?
*looks at you skeptically*
*waits five minutes*
Hmm, I guess I won’t burn you in a ball of flame…
*melts chair instead*
Exactly! Da is a great way to start off a name. πI wonder… do you think @the-real-kapeefer will let me win the XBOX because my name is only two letters off from his?
Daniel, what do you think?

February 22, 2018 at 10:25 am #64445@catwing … I think if I successfully create a poem from that I will have set a record. π……….. This is gonna be tough. π¬
@rochellaine haha yeah.. hmm… Wellll… It’ll probably a few days just for warning. π~I donβt know what Iβm doing~
February 23, 2018 at 7:27 pm #64559@rochellaine Thank you, potato-squash is my random-non-random thingie. :3
Also thank you! I can be funny. Sometimes.
@salome01w4g I think you can do it! Maybe it can go on your resume.~Made a poem out of a random-non-random phrase some internet Catwing said. It was later awarded such-and-such medal. It also made you hungry. (And by you I mean whoever is reading this, ha!)

February 23, 2018 at 11:29 pm #64568@salome01w4g I read your poem in my email and it’s great!Β Hilarious story!
But…it’s not showing up here anymore. πΒ Do you need me to copy it from my email and post it for you, or do you have it saved somewhere else?Β (I’m pretty sure you have it saved somewhere else, since this is an actual piece of writing rather than a quickly-typed post, but just asking in case.)
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
February 23, 2018 at 11:32 pm #64569Can someone please tag me with a topic, too?Β I haven’t been tagged yet.Β Just because I started the topic with a sample poem that doesn’t mean I don’t want to be tagged…

February 24, 2018 at 11:22 am #64574@rochellaine oh yeah, if you could PM it…. I had a spelling error I tried correct then it didn’t repost… And it took me 20 minutes to type since I was using the phone. Yes I do have it saved on my non internet laptop. π
Also consider your self tagged to. π

February 24, 2018 at 12:45 pm #64577Here’s Hannah’s post:
And now I present you: Potato Squash Pudding. (I also present you my shame and the disgrace of all my authoress dignity.Β π¬π)
Potatoes and Squash, a farmer’s delight
A field he grew and harvested in plenty
And without a clue to his plight!
Alas, a poor farmer’s wife, what is she to do with all this potato squash delight?!Poor woman, the farmer demanded a pudding of his wife.
No plums had she, no fruit to be sure!
Only bushels of potatoes and squashes.
So potato squash pudding was he served.A queer cuisine indeed!
Ah poor Farmer
His delights have served him potato squash pudding for a year!
His demands have made him sick!
Potato squash pudding, morning, noon, and night. His dreams now only revolve around potato squash pudding.
It sticks to his clothes, the color stains his teeth.
His delights have made trouble to be sure!
Potato squash puddings served with tea, and served with cream for dessert!Potato squash pudding.
*Bows*
When I read this out loud to my family I was laughing so hard I was crying.
Now… @winter-rose I tag you and your prompt is, boxes, foxes, and rocks……Good luck! π
@salome01w4g Since you typed it up on your phone there were some misspelled words and/or autocorrect issues which I tried to fix.Β A couple of words were so mangled I wasn’t sure what they were… πΒ So if you read this and can public message me before anyone else posts in this thread I can edit in any changes you want to make."Sylvester - Sylvester!"
February 24, 2018 at 1:32 pm #64578@ethryndalΒ Have you done mine yet?
You can pronounce it however you want.
February 25, 2018 at 5:23 pm #64646@Dekreel *buries her non-poetic head in pillow and groans* I’m working on it… π

February 28, 2018 at 11:54 am #64940@salome01w4g I just remembered that you said I could consider myself tagged. πΒ Hooray!Β See if you like this poem for your topic of
Boxes, Foxes, and Rocks
In the land of Gerinoxes
There are many, many boxes
And they all are filled with foxes
And they’re set on rocksOne of the great paradoxes
Is that foxes don’t like boxes
But the boxes like the foxes
‘Cept when they wear socksWhen you see one of the foxes
How to tell whene’er he mocks, is
Look to see if he wears soxes
Then you’ll know he mocksFor the socks disturb the boxes
That is what the paradox is:
Boxes love the claws of foxes
Scratching up each boxIn the end, farewell the boxes!
And as well, farewell the foxes!
When they scratch through all the boxes
Down they fall on rocksThat is where the paradox is
For if socks were on the foxes
There’d still be boxes and foxes
But there’s blood and rocksIn the land of Gerinoxes
Now there are none left of boxes
And, as well, have gone the foxes
But there still are rocksIf you ever see some foxes
Quarreling with lots of boxes
Boxes won’t win, nor will foxes
Who will win? The rocks.(I wrote it quickly, so the flow isn’t quite right in a couple of places, but it’s a comic poem, so I’ll let it slide and post it anyway…And please forgive my obvious cheating when I made up the name “Gerinoxes”! π )
Whom shall I tag?Β @daeus are you still too busy to attempt a poem onΒ A Sobbing Sailboat?
And this is so much fun that I want more action around here, so I’m tagging a couple more…
@catwing @dekreel Try writing anΒ Ode to a Pickle. π- This reply was modified 6 years, 8 months ago by Rochellaine.
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
February 28, 2018 at 12:22 pm #64943@rochellaineΒ Ode to a Pickle?!
Um… ayyy…
Oh, little pickle, floating peacefully in that murky jar,
Your lumpy yet suave skin absorbing juicy tanginess,
Do you know your destiny?
Do you know what will become of you?
Well just so you know, I won’t have anything to do with it
Because I am NOT eating something that’s been soaking in VINEGAR
*gags* *passes you to someone else who finds you more appealing and who can probably write a better ode than this one*
@catwing, want a pickle? XDYou can pronounce it however you want.
