Sooooo…I wondered if you had any songs that make you think of someone/a certain scene in your stories. Possibly even your entire story. Just some music that makes you go, “this is the story of my character’s life!” or “this is my villain’s theme.” Anyways, thought this might be fun. 🙂

@ingridrd I’ve thought of this before and it does sound like a ton of fun. For some reason, though, I can never seem to find the perfect song. Any suggestions of where to look?
@emily I usually find them by chance, whenever I’m listening to the radio or something.

@ingridrd I love listening to soundtracks – they often remind me of my daydreamed stories. It’s awesome. Have you heard the song “Shells” from the Finding Dory movie. It’s the song that’s playing when Dory (SPOILER ALERT!!!) reunites with her parents. When I hear that song, I also think of reunion or reconciliation.
@emily So yeah I would highly recommend listening to soundtracks from movies, TV shows, games, etc. Instrumental music in general is a must, come to think of it. Anything that elicits emotion! Something that make you feel like you wanna cry. Those are the best kinds of songs, in my opinion!

Although I think one song that I really think is inspiring is by Enya, The River Sings. I love that one…very hero-returns-from-journey-ish.
For my upcoming WIP, I find that Stained Glass by Jon Guerra is perfect. It’s basically for his character arc.

@dekreel You should listen to it. It’s very inspirational in my opinion.@emily … Um… *shrugs* Maybe it comes from the term, “It’s to die for…” ? Which never made sense to me because if you died for it then you can’t have it. Okay, so I didn’t die. I pretended to die. I’m still alive!
