What would your character do if they found a $100 bill on the ground?
Riya: *whispers* How much is that in our currency?
Tirion: 300 telpes.
Riya: *eyes widen* Well then, I’d put it towards the money I’m saving to buy a new plot of land for my family.
Tirion: I’d spend it.
Riya: On what?
Tirion: I don’t know, something cool.
What would your character’s dream home look like and where would it be?
Tirion: My dream house would be a small cabin on the edge of a cliff that overlooks the sea.
Me: His dream house would be located in Ireland, probably on the Cliffs of Moher.
Riya: I’d want to live in a tree house deep in the woods, where there aren’t many other people around but there’s beautiful scenery.
Me: She loves the idea of living in the woods somewhere in New Zealand.
What do they like to do in their free time?
Tirion: Write and sketch in my journal in a secluded spot close to the water. Water inspires me. I also enjoy spending time with my friends or going to the library to read.
Riya: Archery.
Tirion: That’s all?
Riya: I meannn, yeah. I guess I’ll sometimes go for walks or spend time with friends.

Jonathan: “I wanted to be a sailor. I thought it’d be fun to climb nets, and I was infatuated with crows nests.”
Lana: “When I was really little I wanted to be a story teller…”

Lana: “Oh come on. Then I went through a phase where I wanted to walk around and draw pictures of plants and flowers. Right now, my future dream is to be a wife and mother.”

Riya: Well, it’s not very common where we’re from for girls to pursue any other careers besides being a mother and wife. Which, honestly, I’m not opposed to, but my unrealistic dream is to become this masked archer who swings in to save people but no one ever knows it’s me.
Tirion: You should pursue that, and I could be your faithful smith who forges your weapons.
Riya: You hate being a smith though. What’s your actual dream job?
Tirion: Hmm, probably being a sailor.

I apologize I have so many characters, but I really want Mel and Dennis to answer this, even though hardly anyone knows them. This is actually kinda a theme in their story.
Dennis (age 12): I was thinking of maybe being a carpenter, like my dad.
Mel (age 10): So last year, when I was little, I wanted to be a zookeeper or an astronaut. Then, I decided I wanted to be an athlete and win a gold at the Olympics. But now I’ve decided I want do do all of those things.
Dennis: Mel… I don’t think you can be all of those things… why don’t you just pick one?
Mel: Fine… I want to be an explorer!
Dennis: But every place on earth has been discovered already…
Mel: Oh… 🙁
Dennis: Well, not everything has been discovered. You could explore the ocean and be a marine scientist or be an astronaut and explore space.
Mel: Yeah! I’m gonna do that!
Dennis: Which one?
Mel: Both.
