Oh my goodness @Rolena! So tragic! 😉
All of those sound pretty creative to me, @Ivy-Rose. 🙂
December 14, 2015 at 1:05 pm #8006@littlebrowndog I liked your Rowan Dyer! Your two villains with the last name Collins must be related, hmmm that would make for an interesting story. 🙂
@Ivy-Rose Every name is creative and special, cause you get to pick the ones you like! :p What I like about your list of names is that their all easy to prounouce. Sometimes authors take such care to come up with the most original, creative name that they end up with something hard for their readers to say. hehehe. Oh and Rhett Newman is a great name!https://rolenahatfield.com/
December 15, 2015 at 4:02 pm #8012Thank you so much, Kate and Rolena. 🙂 I do try to keep my names pronounceable…mostly for my own sake. 😉 Rhett Newman is one of my absolute favorite names…and he’s my favorite male protagonist as of yet!
January 4, 2016 at 3:22 pm #8314Digging this up from the depths of topic despair, here I am. I absolutely LOVE the names y’all have! They’re great! After stalking this topic for, well, a while, I’ve been terribly reluctant to share some of my names, mainly because I have NO CLUE how to pronounce them, but the way they sound in my head (I don’t know how to describe them) I like it. So, here is a quick list of some of my favorites.
Kaida
Brande
Terrowin
Blizzard Loxley
Magnhild
and Hirrador Chardragon (among other Chardragon’s)
Most of these came from various “name meaning” or “name generator” sites, except for Chardragon.January 4, 2016 at 3:27 pm #8316Hey Hannah! Glad you dropped by again! 🙂 Those are really cool names— I especially like Hirrador Chardragon and Terrowin. Let me guess— fantasy? 😉
January 4, 2016 at 3:36 pm #8317@aella— sorry, forgot to tag you. 😀
January 4, 2016 at 4:05 pm #8318Thank you Hannah for digging this topic up from “the depths of despair”. 🙂 I’m glad you decided to share with us a few of your favorites! Hirrador Chardragon is an awesome name! And Blizzard Loxley is especially creative. Love them!

The Invisible OnesJanuary 4, 2016 at 4:38 pm #8321Love the villain’s name, @gretald— simple, yet the name itself has character. 😀
I had to smile too when I saw the name for your MC, ’cause I have an MC right now whose name is very similar. Arianwen. 🙂

January 4, 2016 at 6:09 pm #8324Thanks @kate-flournoy 🙂
Ooo, Arianwen is a great name!
January 4, 2016 at 8:39 pm #8330We have some similar names as well @gretald! I have a Princess Miret and her father’s name is Miris. I love the Invisible Ones. Sounds so mysterious. I think I would like to meet this Madam Munch. She sounds like quite the character. 😉

January 4, 2016 at 8:56 pm #8332She sounds like a mouse. 😉 😀
January 5, 2016 at 9:28 am #8336Cool @rolena-hatfield! I love the name Miret. 🙂
Thanks! Madam Munch really is quite the character, and she is a bit like a mouse @kate-flournoy. 😛 She’s one of those characters who’s supposed to get you really annoyed, so I’d say she’s probably one of my least favorite characters in the novel.
January 5, 2016 at 11:56 am #8338Ah, but those characters are so fun to write, @gretald!
January 5, 2016 at 11:59 am #8339Yeah, those characters are really fun to write; I just get really annoyed with her in the story. 😛 @kate-flournoy
