      @destiny  Strangely, Needsaname sounds super cool!

      For the boys’ names I have a few suggestions but I’m not sure what boy they would fit better: Iravian, Blair, Cian, Eryk, Rend, and Valeo.

      For the girl’s name you could consider: Noelli, Victori, Lorelyn, and Jayce.

            Hey, everyone! I have a horse that needs a name, and seeing as I’m not real great at names…yeah. He’s a chestnut gelding, big but still refined. Along the lines of an Andalusian. (The characters in my book are getting spoiled when it comes to their horses.) Any ideas?

              @waterlily Your description of the horse made me think of the word “majesty” because he’s big, but refined. So I looked up words in several languages that meant “majesty,” and here’s what I came up with. 😀 See if you like any of them:

              Moheem
              Nui
              Majiraan
              Paduka

                @rochellaine Thanks for the names! I’m going with Paduka; it seems to fit both the horse and my story. Plus, it’s fun to say.

                  Peri can be a nickname, right? What are some names that can have a nickname of Peri?

                  You can pronounce it however you want.

                    @dekreel  The only ones I could think of are Peridot, (A gemstone)  or Periwinkle? (this one isn’t a real name. Well its the name of a shade of purple, and a flower. But I’ve always thought it would make a cute name for a character.)   🙂 Or maybe her full name could be Peri and her nickname could be Pearberry- Actually maybe that’s weird. Forget that last part! 😀

                    and I was so confused

                      @waterlily Glad you liked it!

                      @dekreel
                      My first thought was that it could be a nickname for Pearl or Margaret (which means pearl). Some others I found were Perenelle, Peridot, Persis, Pearline, and Perecia.

                      There’s actually a thread I found somewhere on a baby-naming site which I’ll link to in case you want to wade through it for more ideas. I like Pearl best, I think. 😀

                      Here it is.

                        @dekreel  Is your character a girl?

                        All I can think of are names like Peregrine (for a boy), Parrianne and Perris (those aren’t that good, I know).  😉

                          @ingridrd  Yes it’s a girl. … Can Peregrine be a girl’s name?

                          @rochellaine
                            That’s funny — I was JUST on that site! Unfortunately I didn’t find names I like :-/

                            @dekreel There’s a movie (which I believe is based on a book) where one of the characters is named Miss Peregrine. It could work as a girl’s name I believe.

                            "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

                              @skredder  I’ve seen that movie! Unfortunately I’m pretty sure it’s her last name

                                @dekreel I actually had a character nicknamed Peri once upon a time. Her full name was Perdita. A few other suggestions:
                                Perrine (This is a French name, and I think it sounds beautiful.)
                                Persephone (Greek Mythology)
                                I also had the thought that you could look for names that don’t begin with P, but have a “per” somewhere in them such as Juniper.

                                And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

                                  @dekreel  Oh okay!  Hmmm…I’m not sure that sounds very feminine.

                                  @introvert-girl  Persephone!!!!  YAS.  🙂
