Caden
Caden watched the interaction between Steve and Bucky. Recognized it. Felt it.
He’d had many just like it with his brothers before, and seen many with his family, and others.
Especially Fen…
His younger brother tended to carry a lot on his shoulders…and often, refused to let anyone else help ease the burden. Caden wasn’t sure if it was because he felt he needed to…prove himself, or because he didn’t want to worry anyone, or wanted to protect the family.
Perhaps it was a bit of both.
He did take a lot after their Doda.
“Ah, we come from a kingdom called A’Grend. Born and raised there.” Caden smiled fondly. “Our Modór and Doda are not from there though.”
“Mamma and Pap came to A’Grend later as teens, or young adults.” Lucien said, walking beside Puck now. The boy seemed to be in a brighter mood now. “Our mother came from a land called Cirque. Our father from a Snowy Hinterland called (I haven’t made a name for it yet XD)”
“They were fated to meet,” Caden smiled, looking up a bit, no longer in the tunnels. He could see his Mamma and Pappa, so in love, easing about the mantle place.
Memories of Mam convincing his ever stoic Doda to dance with her, and the family laughing the night away as they watched the two round the sofa in a jig.
“Ever the romantic,” Lucien teased, pushing Caden softly with his elbow.
“Oh really? You’re the one who sits, enthralled every time Mam tells the story of how they met, and reunited. Besides, I’ve seen the way you are with Dassie,” A twinkle lit in the blonde’s eyes, “They say I take after mother but…” He smirked as his older brother’s face erupted in scarlet.
Lucien tried to shrug it off, but he couldn’t deny the blush in his cheeks. He tried for a grin. “Well, at least I know the Ladies like me.”
“Does my cousin even know you exist?” Puck asked, smirking.
Lucien scowled at this, cheeks still red. Caden laughed.

Tony
Steve laughed at the others’ banter.
Even Tony smiled, a little.
It reminded him of the Avengers…back before the fight had torn them apart.
His smile faded.
Steve smiled at Caden, Benji, Lucien, and Puck. “Bucky used to be a huge flirt, always got all the girls. He’s…not too much like that anymore.”
Tony chuckled and faced Steve. “Ah, that’s not quite true. I’ve seen him and Madelene googling over each other.”
Steve laughed. Bucky glared. “Nobody asked for your opinion, Tony.”
Tony turned to him with a smirk. “Oh yeah? Everyone can see it, Barnes. You love her, and she loves you. You two, hey, maybe you’re meant to be.”
“What about you and Pepper?” Bucky challenged.
Tony’s eyebrows furrowed together. “Touche, Barnes.”
Bucky laughed and turned back around.
Tony shook his head and faced Lucien with a smirk. “Sooooo…according to your brother, you have a girl you’re interested in.”
Lucien’s lips opened and then closed, as if he couldn’t decide what to say.
Tony chuckled. “Come on…tell us. What is she like? We won’t judge. I’m sure almost all of us here in this room have been in love with a girl at least once.”
He saw Steve’s smile fade…but it quickly returned, and he faced Lucien with a smirk. “Tony’s right, you know.”

Caden chuckled as his brother turned a bit red around the ears. He scratched the back of his neck.
“W-ell…She ah…She’s different, that’s for sure,” Lucien half-smiled, a fond twinkle in his eyes. “She doesn’t really speak. But…she doesn’t really need to,” he shrugged. “I always kinda just…know what she’s trying to say. I don’t know, it’s nice. She’s not…difficult.”
“Wow, big compliment,” Puck rolled his eyes.
Lucien shoved him, “You know what I mean! She’s…nice.”
Caden whistled.
“I’m not good with words!” Lucien shouted, blushing.
“Yea, we know,” Caden laughed, grabbing his older brother by the shoulder.
“Blech! Girls…” Benji shook his head, crossing his arms as he walked next to his brothers. The two older boys laughed all the more.
“Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually agree with the runt,” Puck sighed.
“Just wait, Rabbit,” Lucien teased.
“Shut your face,” Puck said as Tony snorted at the use of the nickname he’d given the kid.

@lightoverdarkness6 so I think it’s your turn to RP as Vance. Last RP as Bren and Freedom’s bad guys were on page 36. Bren had tried to escape and failed…Vance probably won’t be too happy…
I think they’re about to discuss their plan…and Viola might also know now about Bren’s powers? So there may be double crossing in the future but idk Yalls charries so who knows XD

I frowned at the greedy twinkle in Viola’s eyes after witnessing Bren’s little stunt.
Had she seen the small spark of fire when the child fell and lost control of his…ability?
Bren’s teary blue eyes showed fear as he clung to Vlad.
“Children,” Cummings sneered disgustedly.
“Shh. He’ll come in handy,” Viola said, a bit of mirth in her tone. “The little ones make the best bargaining chips.”
I eyed her warily and forced a smile. “…Yes.”
“Now, Vance…exactly what is your plan for this…special little one?” She asked, winking at Bren.
I pursed my lips. She didn’t need to know about Bren’s power…
“Oh well, I was using him as leverage…in the hopes that his brother would wisen up and give me what I desire. Now that we’ve banded together, I may not have to use him…but I’ll be keeping him close…you never know when a young captive can come in handy,” I replied with a smirk.
“…And what about you, Viola? Who are you looking for? I can see by the…” I chuckled softly and continued, “the gleam in your eyes that there is something…or someone, that you’re searching for.”

Viola chuckled and smiled. “Indeed, Vance, I am looking for someone…a…tool, actually, you could say. I could explain how he looks, but I am certain we will find him soon, and I will easily be able to point him out.”
“Shouldn’t we just get to planning already?” Cummings grumbled.
Raymond chuckled. “No need to be so hasty, Cummings…time is more in our favor, after all.”

Bren
Bren, still held in Vlad’s arms, shifted uncomfortably as the nasty people talked around him, planning…something.
They All seemed to have their own ideas and things they wanted to do…and obviously…it included him. Though…he wanted nothing to do with it!
Why couldn’t they just let him go? Why couldn’t Aaron find him and save him? Why did they need him? Or want him? He couldn’t help them find anyone! They didn’t need him for anything! It wasn’t fair!
He…he just wanted his brother…
He wanted to go home…
He never should’ve followed Puck…
He never should’ve come along…
He sniffled, a few tears escaping as he sucked on three of his fingers, the habit taking over.
He felt like a baby…and while he told himself he didn’t care…he sorta did…
But this place was scary!! And so we’re these people…
He hiccuped, pulling his fingers out of his mouth. Vlad gently rubbed his back, trying to soothe him, but it did nothing.
“I don’t wanna be here!” He wailed, shoulders heaving. “Lemme go! I don’t wanna help you!” He balled his small hands into fists, eyes squeezing shut and began pounding relentlessly at Vlad’s shoulders and chest.
He knew that wasn’t totally fair…Vlad had been sorta nice…
But he was still holding him here! Keeping him here, away from his brother!
He cried louder, writhing and kicking at Vlad and yelling to be let go. “I don’t wanna be here! Let me go! Lemme go!”
Heh…well…I have a feeling Cummings is going to be rather agitated XD. And Vlad might be kinda sad (sorry Vlad! He’s just a kid) and they’ll probably have to keep him quiet somehow before he draws attention? Idk.
