      Aaron

Aaron lapsed into silence, avoiding Elias’ gaze.

The man was just as bad as Bren!

      Bren…

Aaron’s shoulders fell. He squeezed his eyes shut, taking in a deep breath.

They were going to find him. They were going to find him. They were-

“Humph…” Ginny grunted, raising a brow. She held up her compass, shaking it a bit. “This don’t make any sense! It led us to a dead end!”

Elias opened his mouth to say something but, obviously thought better of it and shut his mouth.

“Should we turn around?” Aaron asked.

“The compass never lies,” Ginny said, suddenly slipping it into the folds of her dress. She then began moving her hands along the stone wall, searching for…something.

Elias and Aaron exchanged a look.

Ginny peered at them. “Are ya going to help me, or no?”

        Aram

Aram stayed silent for a moment, focusing on his footsteps as the group continued their walk down the hall.

At last he spoke, “I’m looking for a group I’ve been traveling with for a few weeks now.”

        “Mm? Friends of yours?”

Aram’s brows furrowed slightly. “I wouldn’t say friends. More like acquaintances. I’m helping them along their journey. Guiding them.”

“Ah, I see,” Nadya said. “You must be quite the man, having the patience to guide others.” Her eyes glared at Vlad. “I can barely handle the one with me now. Much less a group.”

Vlad shot a look back at her.

              Vance

Alex suddenly turned around to face me and Bren, anger evident in her face…and tone of voice. “Well, Vance,” she spat my name with venom, “which way should we go…?”

I raised a brow, and glanced down the two corridors we had come upon. Honestly, they looked nearly identical.

              I shrugged. “Whichever you prefer.”

She just glared at me. I stared back.

This is quickly becoming a problem…

I heard a small whimper and turned to Bren, who was staring into the murky shadows up ahead. I smiled and crouched down on his level.

“Bren…which hall should we choose?” I asked softly.

His eyes widened, and he glanced from passage to passage. Both were dark and menacing, and…I couldn’t wait to enter one. I knew a thing or two about darkness.

Darkness was safe…concealing…and it held secrets.

He pointed to one. “Th-that one…” He whispered.

(Godly, I just thought this would be a good way for Vance to ask about his powers in the RP, if you don’t want it in there, just ignore it :))

I nodded. Then I murmured softly in his ear, “If you’re so afraid of the dark…why don’t you ‘make’ a torch with your…abilities?”

He looked down, wincing. “It…it doesn’t work like that…”

“Oh? Well, since ‘it doesn’t work like that,'” I paused, reaching into my cloak.

I withdrew my hand, grasping a flashlight. Of course I didn’t need it, but…I liked keeping it around…not with the intention of using it, but as a reminder of who gave it.

I don’t need him breaking down on me, ’cause he’s afraid of the dark.

I sighed.  “You can use this.” I handed it to him, flicking the switch. The yellowish glow shone brightly.

He took it, brow furrowed, but didn’t dare ask about it.

I smirked. “Oh, and don’t worry. I’m planning on finding out exactly what kind of abilities you have…just give it time.”

His eyes widened in dread, and he tried to pull away. I gripped his hand tighter, shooting him a glare.

Suddenly, I stood up, and directed my attention to Madelene and Alex.

“Ladies first,” I smiled, motioning for them to go first.

They did, Alex shooting one last glare my way before disappearing into the shadows.

As soon as they had, I turned once more with a vicious glare, pulling Bren forward and squeezing the little boy’s palm until he let out a small cry.

“Listen. You’re going to go through there, and you’re going to play pretend for as long as needed, alright?” I hissed.

              Bren leaned away, wincing.

“I want my brother…” he squeezed his eyes shut, sniffing.

“Well, maybe if you’re a good little boy I’ll take him with me too.” I said softly.

Bren blinked, his expression turning to dread.

“Now go!” I pushed the boy into the hall before he could say anything, plunging him into darkness…except for that inferior flashlight.

It lit up the hall, quite a lot brighter than I had supposed. I hadn’t used it in…who knows how long?

“Of course,” I growled under my breath. “I won’t make that mistake again.”

I followed behind him, my hands on his shoulders, making sure he stayed right in front of me.

I could see Alex and Madelene up ahead, and they had stopped.

              Ugh, what is it now?

I could see more people. How many more were we going to run into?!

There were four of them. One was a tall man, his hair starting to gray. I could see a teenage boy behind him, and there were two young boys clinging to the teenage boy.

              Good grief.

I glanced down at Bren. His bright blue eyes were filled with hope at the sight of the three boys and their father…I suppose, he was hoping for rescue.

Well, that’s not going to happen.

I squeezed his shoulder tighter, and he whimpered softly.

Then, pasting on a smile, I walked forward with Bren, stopping alongside Madelene. She smiled sweetly at Bren, and he shyly smiled back.

Directing my attention to the new people, I said, “Hello. My name is Vance, and these are my companions, Alex and Madelene, and my son, Bren. What are your names?”

                @godlyfantasy12. @lightoverdarkness6. I’m back!!! 😄😅🤣

I hope both of y’all had a great church service, and Godly, I hope you had fun at the concert, and Light, I hope you had an absolutely amazing, wonderful birthday!!! 💗💗💗

I’m back now and ready to RP. 😉

                Elias

Ginny ran her hands along the stone wall, obviously searching for something.

Elias and Aaron both glanced at each other, eyes meeting.

Ginny turned around and peered at them. “Are ya going to help me, or no?”

                Elias slowly nodded. “Uhm…yeah…sure.”

He and Aaron began running their hands along the wall.

                One of the stones felt…different.

Elias paused. “Hey…Ginny, Aaron, this part of the wall feels a bit different…”

                Vlad

                Nadya was impossible to handle.

Vlad rolled his eyes and turned to Aram. “Ignore her, Aram…she has many, MANY screws loose.”

“Look who’s talking.” Nadya snarled back in reply, before turning to Aram with a smile. “I admire your patience, Aram, for dealing with an entire group.”

                Vlad huffed and turned around.

                Nadya was rarely ever friendly.

This was flattery, trying to trick Aram…maybe lead him into a trap, somehow.

But she was laying it on a little thick.

                Bucky

He searched the dark room, not that he could see much, looking for the kid.

“Buck! We’ll get you back up here somehow, I promise!” Steve called from way up above.

Bucky nodded, slowly pulling his phone out of his pocket. He turned the flashlight on and searched the room even more.

He heard a quiet, soft groan, and stopped.

(soooo…not entirely sure what you want to happen to Puck, so I’m leaving it up to you. 😊)

                Riker

Riker kept his arms out in front of Liam and the twins, warily watching the man who had introduced himself as Vance.

But his gaze quickly strayed to the boy Vance had introduced as his son.

Red curly hair…bright blue eyes…Riker had seen it before…years ago…so long ago that it almost felt like a lifetime ago.

                Bren looked just like November.

“…My name is Riker. These are three of my sons, Liam, Damien, and Cameron.”

                “Daddy…he looks weird…” Cameron whispered.

“Shh…” Liam whispered. His grip on his brothers’ hands tightened.

Riker faced the man, Vance, again.

His grip on Bren was tight.

                Too tight.

Riker faced his sons again, noting the paleness of Liam’s face. He gently took Damien from Liam’s grip and lifted him onto his hip, as Liam did the same with Cameron.

Liam came to stand beside him, and Riker faced Vance and the others again. “It’s nice to meet you…but Bren, you look…familiar…” He whispered.

                  Bren

Bren’s hands shook as he held the flashlight, making the light quiver on the figures in front of him.

The man’s threats from before rang in his ears…

                  Find out more about…his powers…?

                  He swallowed, breaths shaky.

But…he didn’t want to use his powers…they hurt people!

He stared at the new group before him. At the man, his eyes kind and gentle…

Vance’s grip on his shoulders tightened, making him squirm. He looked up at the man’s dark eyes, whimpering.

“Bren, is it?” The man, Riker asked. He smiled sweetly.

Bren stayed silent, afraid to answer.

He’d never been this scared in his life….

                  Why had he left home…Aaron was right…he…he should’ve stayed…with…with Ima….

                  He slowly nodded.

“Nice to meet you. You… remind me if someone I met once. How old are you?”

Bren stiffened. He glanced at Vance, who nodded slightly.

                  “T-Ten…” Bren said.

                  Puck

Puck groaned, slowly rising to his knees. He winced as his eyes were met with the bright light of…some small box?

“Puck? Puck, are you okay?” Bucky asked, walking over to him, a bit slowly, maybe trying to gain his footing.

Puck coughed, then coughed again. He shook his head, dust falling from his hair. He huffed.

                  “F-Fine.”

He winced, wrapping his arms around himself as pain shot from his spine through his back, shaking his ribs. He bent over, gritting his teeth.

Bucky raised a brow. “You don’t look fine.”

                  “I’m…fine.”

“What happened? Broken ribs?” Bucky came a bit closer. Puck frowned, brows furrowing.

                  “N-No…nothing’s broken.”

                  “Are you sure, I-“

“Nothing is BROKEN!” Puck cried as more pain shot from his back, this time traveling all down into his legs.

                  Bucky pulled back.

                  Puck squeezed his eyes shut.

of all times for this to happen….

A few tears slipped from his eyes. He looked up again. “S-Sorry….It’s….something that happens….sometimes…we don’t really know why. My dad thinks….thinks it’s his fault. Stupid really….”

His chest heaved, the pain growing.

(My poor baby…you’ve already met him so you know that now this is a big deal him showing this side…so he’s obviously in a lot of pain…look up back spasms…things like that. Not fun. You can feel like ur going out if your mind. My papa has back issues)

                  Aaron

Aaron and Ginny turned to Elias. Both came over, looking at the wall. Aaron put out a hand, touching the stone. He knocked it.

                  “Sounds…hollow.”

“Aye! Told ya! The compass doesn’t lie!” Ginny grinned. Aaron chuckled. Elias couldn’t help but smile it seemed, and the three worked together looking for some entrance or way to get into the wall.

At last, Ginny, out of patience, finally kicked the wall, steel toed boots hitting a piece of stone that suddenly went into the wall.

With a large rumble, a piece of the wall moved, making an opening for the group to go through.

Ginny let out a whoop, raising her fist in the air. She took out her compass, continuing down the hall.

Aaron shook his head, chuckling. He glanced at Elias, and seeing the look on his face, coughed, ears turning pink.

“Stop that,” he said under his breath, pulling at the cloak over his shirt (it’s not really a cape type cloak, more one of those that scrunches around the neck? XD idk what they’re called)

                  “What?” Elias asked, acting innocent.

“You sound like my brother,” Aaron said, smiling a bit. He then sighed. “I…I hope he’s alright…”

“I’m sure he’s fine. Besides, now we’ve got a pirate and a…magical? Compass on our side!”

Aaron grinned, “Yea…true…” He sucked in a breath. “Alright…guess we better follow her, or she’ll be calling after us.”

                    Aram

                    Aram’s eyes narrowed.

This woman…was much too flattering to be sincere.

She was planning something. And it involved him, Aram had no doubt.

He stopped in his tracks. Nadya walked past him a few steps before turning, brown raised.

“I believe I will take my leave here. As stated before.”

Nadya pursed her lips. “Are you sure, we could-“

                    “I am.”

Vlad tilted his head, a different look on his face. Perhaps…one of respect? Aram couldn’t quite tell.

                    Nadya glared.

“It was…good to travel with you.” He turned, pushing up his cloak.

@godlyfantasy12. Aww, Puck!!! 😭💗 Bucky’s gonna help him out however he can…❤️

                        Elias

Elias chuckled. “You’re probably right. Come on, let’s follow your girlfriend.”

                        Aaron’s cheeks flushed. “She-she’s not-”

Elias winked. “Oh, I know. Maybe she could be, though, if you told her how you felt.”

                        “What? I-I couldn’t-”

“Easy, Aaron…I’m just teasing…” Elias followed after Ginny, “…maybe.”

                        (Lol…I love him. 🤣💗)

                        Bucky

Bucky’s eyebrows furrowed together as he looked down at Puck, the flashlight on his phone still on.

Sure, this kid hadn’t been acting the nicest earlier…

but Bucky had never wished pain on him.

He almost reached for him, but stopped.

He could just make everything worse.

                        He couldn’t risk that.

                        Not now.

                        “Puck…is there anything I can do…?”

                        Vlad

Nadya continued to glare at Aram. “Fine, if you want to leave, be my guest. But I will say to you, Aram…” she trailed off.

Vlad raised an eyebrow at Nadya.

In all honesty, he respected Aram’s ability and willpower to stand up against the annoying woman.

“…we won’t be responsible for anything that happens to you.”

                        (well…Nadya is…well…something. 😅)

                          @freedomwriter76 awww Bucky!! XD ELIAS 🤣 @lightoverdarkness6

                          Aaron

Aaron cleared his throat, following a few feet behind the rascally redhead.

I mean…honestly! They’d just met not that long ago! He didn’t….really like her…just….he…

His brows furrowed as he thought.

There were tons of girls in A’Grend who had…well, tried to get close to Aaron. He’d never exactly known how to handle that…

His mother said it was pretty natural. She’d had to suffer some of the same thing when she was younger from some of the boys in the kingdom.

Not that that made it any easier.

Aria seemed to be pretty good at getting her many followers to back off.

                          But Aaron?

He just got all tongue tied and flustered…

                          Which…was how he was now.

So…he definitely didn’t like Ginny. This was how he was with every girl, outside of his family.

                          Except…

No other girl made his heart feel like it would beat out of his chest. Or…made him feel like he was on fire whenever she touched his shoulder, or grabbed his hand.

There had been plenty of pretty girls back home…

                          But…no one like Ginny.

Did he really like her like that…?

Gah…if only his dad were here…he…he’d know.

“Compass says we go left!” Ginny suddenly called, no room for discussion.

Elias sighed, but smiled. “Well, guess we go left then.”

Aaron nodded, pulling at a small strand of hair that had fallen over his eyes. “Ah…yea.”

                            Puck

Puck let out a small groan, bent over on the ground now. Bucky was a few feet away, face pale, as of afraid to approach.

Like Puck was some…animal that might attack.

                            Can’t say I blame him…

Puck frowned, not answering. He curled into a ball, wishing this was all a dream. Wishing his sister were here.

She always knew how to help him…

“I…Let me see if Steve can…” Bucky started walking away a bit, back towards the trapdoor high above in the ceiling.

Puck’s eyes widened, the pain sending a mix of signals to his brain. He cried.

                            “No!”

                            Bucky stopped.

“I…” Puck reeled, back arching in pain. He heaved, “D-Don’t leave…please…”

                            😭

                            Caden

Caden peered into the hole in the ground, face pale. “Bucky! Bucky!”

Why wasn’t he answering now?! What if…maybe he’d found Puck…and…

No! Puck would be fine…he had to be!

Caden’s eyes snapped up, just in time to see Benji looking into the hole.

“BENJI NO, GET AWAY NOW,” he snapped.

Benji gasped, tears immediately springing to his eyes. He ran to the other side of the room, unused to hearing Caden ever yell.

A hand touched Caden’s shoulder, making him jump. He looked up to find Lucien.

“Hey…calm down…it’s gonna be alright. I’m sure Puck’s fine. Bucky’s down there with him.”

Caden’s brows furrowed. He wasn’t entirely sure if that made him feel better…

The man had been one edge more often then not…

But he slowly breathed in, and then out.

                            Stood.

He looked over at Benji, who was curled against the wall, snifflin. Large crocodile tears fell from his eyes, rolling down his cheeks.

Benji’s heart thudded. He hadn’t meant to make his baby brother cry…

                            He walked over, kneeling down.

“Ah, Benj…I’m sorry…” He slowly took him in his arms, embracing him. “I just….I couldn’t…I couldn’t have you fall in. I couldn’t. I shouldn’t have yelled at you. I’m sorry.”

Benji snuggled into his shoulder, nodding.

                            Aram

Aram met the young woman’s eyes.

She was showing her true colors now. The flattery and kindness from before a facade.

Aram gripped the dagger beneath his cloak.

If he wanted…he could kill her right here and now.

“I assure you, I can handle myself. Thank you for your concern.”

And with that, he walked away.

@godlyfantasy12. Lol, poor Aaron. 😅🤣 Btw, do you have any ideas on what to do for Steve, Caden, Lucien, Benji, Tony, and Ryo??? 😄

                              Elias

                              They turned and went left.

Wherever the compass led was where they would go.

Elias glanced at Aaron, who seemed lost in thought…whilst also watching Ginny.

                              Elias smirked.

He’d seen it before. With Jonathan and Isabel a few years back, before they’d gotten married. Isabel was afraid to admit her love for him, wondering if he would even return her affection.

So she’d always been a nervous wreck and awkward around him.

It was…kinda funny, to be honest.

He had been the only one to think that, though.

“Oy, you! You comin’ along!?” Ginny suddenly cried, turning around, Aaron right behind her, both of them facing Elias.

Elias gave a nervous chuckle. Rubbed the back of his neck. “Yeah…I’m coming.”

also… I’m thinking maybe they find a way to get down there to Bucky and Puck? Maybe like a grappling hook? (But before they do maybe Puck and Bucky have a bit of a confiding moment idk up to you lol)
