Lucien
Lucien offered a small smile at the exchange between Bucky and his little brother.
Benji hopped down, tilting his head. “Oh well, it’s still neat-o! Can I touch it?” He reached out a hand, but Caden grabbed him before he could get too close.
“Hey, stop being a pest. What have we told you about personal space?” Caden sighed, small smile on his lips.
Lucien rolled his eyes, muttering, “You’re one to talk.”
Caden glowered, “You’re just as bad.”
Benji frowned, folding his arms. “Aww alright…” He tilted his head, now looking at Steve. “Why do you have a shield? And what are those colors for? Are you a knight?”
“Not everyone’s a knight bean-head.” Lucien playfully swatted Benji’s head. The boy stuck out his tongue.
Ryo let out a loud giggle, clapping his hands at the sight. “Fun!” He too stuck his tongue out, squeezing his eyes shut.
Benji glared, cheeks puffing out. He did it back to him. Ryo just giggled.
“You’re silly!” He said.
Benji raised his nose, huffing. “I don’t like him…” he said quietly. (This may seem random but kids this age actually do this…I had a kid once do this before cuz he was jealous XD)
“Don’t be like that. He’s a baby, see,” Caden said, bringing Benji closer. Caden reached out a hand, introducing Ryo to Benji.
Benji shook his head. “No!” He said, wiggling out of Caden’s arms.
Thankfully, Ryo didn’t seem to take this personally, and merely giggled, turning back to Bucky, wanting to play.
Benji ran over to Lucien, hiding behind his leg with a pout.
Puck, who stood nearby, rolled his eyes. “Great. Your baby brother developed your ego.”
Lucien scrunched his nose at him.

She narrowed her eyes even further.
By the way the little boy, Bren, cowered, this man wasn’t his father. And if he was, he was a horrible father.
“…Why do you think I would trust you!?”
“Alex…” Madelene whispered, setting a hand on her shoulder, “let’s not be hasty.”
“Look at him, Madelene…you work at a children’s hospital…you see kids all the time. Doesn’t that little boy look so scared…?”
Slowly, Madelene nodded, but she still didn’t let go of Alex. She dropped her voice to an even quieter whisper. “Listen, Alex…we need to be patient. We can’t just rush in and grab him…but we’ll help him. I promise.”
Alex slowly nodded.
But that didn’t mean she was happy about it.
Madelene smiled at Vance. “Forgive my…sister here. She’s a little…headstrong. Fierce, if you will. She didn’t mean to be unfriendly. I am Madelene, and this is Alex.”
Alex crossed her arms. Rolled her eyes.
For one, Madelene was lying…and for two, Alex wasn’t happy about this arrangement.
And for three…
She was allergic to jerks.

Bucky
Bucky smiled and reached for Ryo, carefully taking Ryo from Steve.
Ryo merely giggled, wrapping his arms around Bucky’s neck. “Bucky! Bucky! Play…?”
“What are we going to play, Ryo? What is there to play right now?”
Ryo scrunched his nose, thinking, maybe pouting a bit.
Steve smiled faintly at both of them but turned to face the brothers and Puck. “Well…maybe we should try moving on. Maybe we can find some food somewhere. Because neither me nor Bucky have any food, that’s for sure.”
Bucky nodded in agreement. “And we can be certain that Ryo here and Benji will get hungry and-”
“I’m hungry!” Ryo squealed, basically in Bucky’s ear.
Bucky grimaced and shifted him, holding him lower, making sure he wasn’t that close to his ear anymore.
“And we need food to give to them.” Bucky finished.
Lucien nodded. “You’re probably right.”
Puck shook his head. Rolled his eyes…again. “Why should we listen to them…?”
Caden smiled and winked at Puck. “It will be fun, you’ll see.”
Puck huffed. “Fine…but I don’t have to be happy about it.”
Steve smiled. “No one said you had to be. But I’m sure you’ll get hungry before long.”
Puck crossed his arms. “I could get by on my own.”
“Why don’t you be grateful for our help instead of being a brat?” Bucky retorted.
