Benji looked up at Raymond, still holding his hand. “My name is Benji!”
Raymond grinned, “Benji, huh? I like it.”
“Hmph, sounds rather impractical if you ask me.” The other man, Cummings said.
Raymond looked back at him with furrowed brows. “Cummings, come on…”
“It’s short for Benjamin.” Benji said, straightening and letting go of Raymond’s hand so he could put both fists on his hips. “And it means Son of the Right Hand. What does your name mean.”

The kid had some…attitude.
And he liked it.
Cummings’ face reddened. “You stupid-”
Raymond held up a hand. Gave Cummings a smirk. “Now, now, Cummings…he’s a guest. Let’s be polite.”
Cummings muttered a few choice words beneath his breath.
Raymond turned back to Benji with a smile. “Come along, Benji. We need to continue down the hall. Ignore Cummings…he’s grouchy.” He offered his hand back to Benji.

Lily smiled softly. Turned to Elias and Albert. Nodded. “We should get moving.”
Elias nodded. Put his gun back on his back. “Yeah. Albert, keep your gun out…just in case, will you?”
Albert merely nodded, staring blankly ahead.
Lily grabbed Aaron’s hand and squeezed it. “We’ll get Bren back. I promise. Come on…let’s see if we can find those two boys…maybe they can help us.”

“So your name’s Ryo, huh?” Caden asked the little boy in Bucky’s arms. He nodded, smiling big.
“A fine name!” Lucien said, coming over to the boy. “Sounds like something Doda would’ve come up with, don’tcha think?” He asked Cade, who nodded.
Ryo giggled again.
Steve grinned, though Caden couldn’t help but notice that Bucky’s eyes were wary, and his grip on Ryo tight.
Caden frowned slightly.
“So…um…Bucky right?” Caden tried, smiling bright. Bucky raised a brow, looking a bit caught off guard. “Ah…are you and Steve brothers or…?”

Lila looked over at Asher. “Favorite animal? Hm…I’m not sure. There’s just…so many amazing ones.”
“Oh, but dragons are definitely in the running. Well…not the annoying ones though…like some of the ones we know.”
Asher’s eyes widened, as did Matthew’s. “D-Dragons?!” Matthew cried. Lila nodded, smiling demurely.
“Yes, we have a dragon nursery back home, though there aren’t many as of yet. We’re hoping to change that though, and show that dragons are creatures of Light, not darkness. It all depends on who is their partner.”

Lol, I can’t remember for that group either…😂😂😂 I think they were just talking…??? Maybe we could split the group…like, make something happen to separate them or something. 😉 Or something…IDK…😂

Caden spoke to him, and Bucky raised an eyebrow, body going tense. “Ah…are you and Steve brothers or…?”
Bucky shook his head. “No. Just…friends…close friends…yeah…friends.”
He saw Steve offer him a small smile, as if he was reassuring him that it was safe to talk…safe to be relaxed…safe to be…Bucky.
“We’re friends…close friends…best friends…since we were in school.”
Steve laughed. “Which was a really long time ago.”
Bucky nodded. “Yeah…a really long time ago…so long ago that…” Painful memories filled his head…floated before his eyes…and Bucky trailed off.
Steve raised an eyebrow, blue eyes filling with concern. “…Buck?”
Bucky shook his head, gave Steve a smile, shifted Ryo to his other arm, and gave Caden a grin that he didn’t entirely feel. “So long ago that I don’t even remember it the best. But that’s fine…because I have Steve right here.”
(I was thinking Nehemiah could join this group…what do you think??? 😉)
