okay, so about 3 years ago I got a calligraphy set. And then, because I told myself I would learn calligraphy later, I put it away. Anyways, long story short, I recently found it again.
So does anyone know where I can learn calligraphy?

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMarch 28, 2018 at 2:38 pm #69063@alia Calligraphy is definitely art! As for where to learn…hmm. To bad my Mom can’t give you lessons. She is really good at calligraphy. I will ask her what books she used.

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMarch 28, 2018 at 3:09 pm #69078@alia I hope it helps. I want to try calligraphy too. I got a set for my birthday but I haven’t done much with it yet.

March 30, 2018 at 7:20 pm #69600@Alia Wellll…I don’t know calligraphy myself (I wish. It doesn’t look hard at all and I love handwriting, I just haven’t taken time to learn it.), but Kate learned from several different books. I’m pretty sure one of them was just the “manual” of sorts that came with her set, so that was basics at least. Does your set have one? And she went from there… I think a more advanced book she later got she learned a lot from. Lemme go root it up real quick. O.K., it’s The Calligraphy Bible, by MaryAnne Grebenstein. (Last name may or may not be spelled correctly…I was trying to remember it.) Very thorough, informative thing, that also is sort of a work-book with pages for practice. She said she learned very much from that one.
I bet there are lots of videos on YouTube as well.
