Thanks! Basically it was trying to capture the idea that the stars are infinite, as in they will exist for as long as the universe does, but that God outlasts infinity. My book is a dystopian retelling of Les Miserables, and the title is part of a longer quote from a section of Les Mis.
…lovers hide in the evening, in the twilight, in the invisible, among the birds, among the roses, they fascinate each other in the shadows with their hearts which shine through their eyes, the murmur, they whisper, and all the time, the immense wheeling of the stars fills infinity

March 20, 2018 at 5:18 am #67653@princessfoo Ah, cool. And longer titles often tell you some of the plot, or something about a character better than a shorter one, which tends to be more abstract. I like the title The Key to Everywhere and I don’t think it reminds one too much of The Girl from Everywhere, though I haven’t read it. To me, The Key to Everywhere doesn’t sound very cliche, because “everywhere” plays on the fact that a key has to open a place. And I’m immediately intrigued by it. If it were something like The Key to Everything, that would sound much more cliche to me.
@alia It does sound interesting! And you don’t have to be able to draw to have an amazing cover, if you do it digitally or someone else does it 😀
@kaya-young Good point! Every title is helped along by its cover art. Together they make the cover. But oftentimes cover art changes for more well-known books, while a title does not. I suppose the title has a bit more permanence.Read to explore worlds, write to create them.

@seekjustice Oh my goodness! That sounds amazing! I love that statement, “God outlasts infinity.” And a dystopian retelling of Les Mis?! I haven’t read it in a long time, but this sounds So. Cool!Read to explore worlds, write to create them.
March 20, 2018 at 5:54 am #67655Thanks again! I like the statement too, it’s true and it’s really comforting, because in light of infinity, what are our little tiny problems? We can trust them to God because he is greater than even the stars and the moon and sun!
I had a lot of fun writing it! I’m working on the sequel at the moment which is a retelling of A Tale of Two Cities.
Basically, I like writing retellings!

@princessfoo @kaya- young @ingridrd @dekreel @dragon- snapperWhat do you think of the titles “The Last Tomorrow” and ” Where the Vultures Gather”? They ate two titles I thought of for some present day stories I want to write.
( Dont take those ideas!) 🙂

March 20, 2018 at 10:29 am #67667@ariel-ashira Those titles are amazing! I’m sure I’d pick the book up to read the back or skim through it.
(I’d never take an idea unless it was offered me…except if I really wanted to? JK 😀 Your titles are safe.)
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
March 20, 2018 at 3:25 pm #67699@ariel-ashira I really like those! Especially “The Last Tomorrow”, but both are good.
March 20, 2018 at 8:22 pm #67757@princessfoo @rochellaine I am glad you like them! I wish I could think of more good ones for the books I am working on right now. Argh!

I love that! It’s so true 🙂 A Tale of Two Cities??? That is one of my favorite books! Please, could you let me know if you ever need betas, or when you publish these? 😀

Read to explore worlds, write to create them.
March 21, 2018 at 4:19 am #67884@ariel-ashira Those titles certainly grab me! I would certainly pick up The Last Tomorrow, but Where the Vultures Gather, while super intriguing, would probably make me think of death, so if I didn’t know you or the book wasn’t recommended to me, I probably wouldn’t pick it up. Although that’s just my taste. And it would still intrigue me, even if I didn’t pick it up 🙂

March 21, 2018 at 4:21 am #67885A Tale of Two Cities is such an awesome book! It’s in my top three favourites. I definitely will let you know. If you’re interested in reading the first book, which is Stars Fill Infinity here’s THE LINK to the topic I made on it, which has the links to the Google docs.
Thank you! You’re so sweet 😀
