How do you bold and italic words? I haven’t been able to figure it out.
I assume you mean on this site. It is very simple. All you do is select the text you want to emphasize and click the b button or the i button in that row of buttons directly above where you type your text for a comment. Link and b-quote are pretty self explanatory. I don’t know what the others do actually.
Incase you mean in a word processing system, just select the text and hit command/control (command for mac, control for windows) and then i for italics or b for bold.

And when you hit those buttons, Sarah, assuming you are talking about this site, you will get little abbreviated marks encasing the lump of text you want— — so. And — like that.
Remember to click the button again after you’re done italicizing or making bold whatever you were italicizing or making bold, also. I don’t always remember that! 😛
Oops… apparently the examples I gave got incorporated into the back-text of the post and didn’t show up. Sorry! 😛 The computer thought I was clicking the button, not giving an example of what the button would say! 😀
Okay, thanks! Let me try…
Bold
Italic
I hope that works.
Oh yay! Thank you.
You got it! 🙂
Or [ strong] (no spaces) and [/ strong] and the same thing with I think emp or italic I don’t remember that one works too.
