Hey KeePer friends!
I’m doing a bit of research/learning on the topic of blogs. And ya’ll are always my most helpful resource when it comes to learning. 🙂 I’ll limit my questions to two right now… (though I could bombard you with about a gillion :p)Let’s imagine your ideal blog. It’s your favorite blog to return to time and time again.
1) What topics would you like to see more of that would keep you coming back? (very general question cause I’m looking for honest answers anywhere between more writing advice to facts about black squirrels)
2) Which author blogs are currently your favorite to follow? (much more specific 🙂 )

May 13, 2017 at 6:16 pm #33191I love your profile picture, it’s so cute.
Anyway.
My favorite blogs…well, I don’t have just one single aspect that keeps me coming back, but I love personality. I love sassy authors, like @ethryndal. She’s not afraid to say her opinion–no matter how crazy–and it keeps me reading.
My favorite blog would have to be the Woodland Quill. I can’t even begin to explain how much Brandon’s blog has helped me. It’s so informative, and his writing style is really easy to take notes off of. @brandon-miller
Hope this helps!

Haha! I’ll agree to that. Personality makes the blog… personal and unique. Hehe. And yes, sassy authors have all the fun.
You definitely just made Brandon’s day. 🙂
Yes, very helpful! Thanks Elizabeth!

Yes, you did just make Brandon’s day, thank you very much! I’m glad I can pretend to be helpful and actually pull it off. Also, Nadine Brandes’ blog (and newsletter) are fantastic. Check them out. (But you know that, don’t you Rolena…)
May 14, 2017 at 1:56 am #33198I can’t honestly say, because my own blog is my ideal blog. It blends the topic of story and Christianity/philosophy/opinion articles with some fitness on the side. I sort of want it to be like the Nerdwriter Youtube channel which I think is just totally awesome.
But as for topics, I honestly love philosophical musings and a commentary on life. Kind of like what Nerdwriter and the School of Life do on their Youtube channels. I’d like more of that kind of thing in writing form, although I love video essays. But, yeah. I love their content.
As for actual blogs, I gravitate towards writing websites. KM Weiland, September C Fawkes , and The Script Lab are all awesome. I might add @brandon-miller’s blog because I checked it out . . . Bro, you’re making quality content. Seriously. Kudos 2x.

Thanks for the link to your blog! I like the set up. I’ll definitely have to come back and do some reading.Philosophical musings and commentary on life. *addsthesetolistofblogtopics*
Also I’ll have to check out those other blogs you mentioned. Thanks!https://rolenahatfield.com/
May 15, 2017 at 7:43 pm #33258I too like the philosophical musings and such. I tend to gravitate towards blogs with a lot of personality too. But I’m mostly there for writing and such. I enjoy the odd short story because I like to see that the people know what they’re talking about when it comes to writing. 😉
And everyone has said all the author blogs I read, so…
May 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm #33287@Rolena-Hatfield I like a variety of stuff—I wouldn’t like it all to be only on one subject. Not even writing. 😉 I love the philosophical musings sort a ton; the occasional story; and OF COURSE the bloggers whose blogs are personal.
@Ethryndal’s blog is my current favorite; this is another one but she‘s not very active yet. Finishing school first. 😉 And this one I like mostly because of her serial story Blank Mastermind ; I don’t relate to some of the things she posts, but it’s an AWESOME example of a blogger with personality. She is so sweet and hilarious. 😀
I also like the kind with snippets from the person’s life, if the person has made me like them enough to be interested. XDMay 16, 2017 at 3:05 pm #33289@Emma-Flournoy sneaky! XD I wasn’t ready yet…
May 16, 2017 at 3:16 pm #33290*peeks in* @kate-flournoy I agree with Emma.
Also, I swear, Kate, if you ever scare me like that again… *glares*

May 16, 2017 at 3:27 pm #33292Ugh. I’m supposed to be doing an exam but now you have me wondering how you did that in the first place… @kate-flournoy
