@bluejay, I’m reading a biography on Charles Spurgeon. It’s very good. He was an incredible man!! 🙂

August 28, 2016 at 2:55 am #16297@bluejay I was in church, first at a conference and then at youth, pretty much all day today, and although I didn’t have much time for Bible reading, I got touched by the Holy Spirit in a pretty amazing way. So I had a completely awesome day in that respect. Hopefully I’ll be able to read a lot tomorrow. I’m kinda fired up right now. Guess what happened in youth group a few days ago? We were having an activity night, and one of the boys tackled our youth leader, and they both lost their balance and fell, and the leader’s elbow got bent all the way backwards until it popped out. It was terribly painful, and the church medic couldn’t pop it back and was going to send him to the ER, but then we prayed for him and Jesus healed him right there, completely. Not slowly and gradually, but in an instant. No sling, no medication, no pain pills- there wasn’t even any swelling after. It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. I knew God could heal, but to see Him intervene in a scary real-life situation like that really strengthened my faith.
August 28, 2016 at 3:00 am #16298@sarah-h That’s totally amazing. God is wonderful.
I think youth events are great. It’s so much nicer when you can be with other Christian people like yourself. It’s one thing I miss a lot, as I live in the country with no close Christians nearby.
At least KP allows me to be with people even if it is over the internet. 🙂August 28, 2016 at 3:29 am #16299@bluejay That’s too bad. Living in the country is such fun (for me anyway), but the downside of it -no people- is pretty terrible. This is the first year I’ve been part of a good youth group, but it’s changed my life and I’d miss it a lot if we had to leave. KP is so awesome. I’m glad you are able to get some Christian fellowship, even though it’s over the Internet. 🙂
August 28, 2016 at 1:15 pm #16302August 28, 2016 at 1:20 pm #16304Oh and @Bluejay, the lady who wrote the foreward of Raising Maidens —Jennie Chancey—is my aunt. Isn’t that funny?
August 28, 2016 at 5:24 pm #16311@emma-flournoy Thanks for the suggestions. At the moment I am trying to read through ever biography that we own. Which is a lot, but it will be good.
I’m in the middle of reading about Hudson Taylor and his life is so amazing. He really trust in God to provide at the right time.
No way! *It’s a small world after all* I keep finding people who know other people that I have heard of. 🙂 It’s so funny.August 28, 2016 at 5:29 pm #16313Speaking of meeting people who know other people you’ve heard of, @bluejay, If you go to the Kingdom Cinema there’s a video mentioned there called ‘Off Track.’ I know the guys who made that! So, yeah. 🙂

August 28, 2016 at 5:31 pm #16315@clairec Eyekey Productions??? Or something like that? They entered Chuck’s first and second competition and won first place. We got third place in the second year and the same the next year.
And I’ve watched Off Track. It’s a well made move. 🙂August 28, 2016 at 5:42 pm #16317@bluejay, Yep, that’s them! 🙂 They’re make some really cool things! Well, made some really cool things. They haven’t done any for a while. If you find their YouTube channel you can watch their other videos. Some of them are really funny! 😉 Judah Simard (he’s the 17 yr old, younger guy on who lies down on the tracks) is actually in Hollywood now, and apparently is going to be in a TV series at some point.
Wow, you won third place! That’s very impressive! We made a movie that went for 1 hr 47 mins. Yes, you read that correctly! 1hr 47 mins! It was actually really well done, but the cinematography was probably lacking a little luster, and not all of us were the best of actors! Will you share the link for your movie sometime? I’d love to see it! 🙂- This reply was modified 8 years, 2 months ago by ClaireC.

August 28, 2016 at 6:46 pm #16321@Emma-Flournoy It’s Not That Complicated and Joyfully at home are both good.
@Bluejay I feel you with living in the country and there being no people. And I live within half an hour of a largish city.It still seems that the people I’s like to be friends with all live to far away. But maybe that’s because I’m kind of picky with my friends.August 28, 2016 at 6:47 pm #16322@clairec IN HOLLYWOOD!?!?!?!?!?!?! *faints*
*faints for a second time when she reads 1hr 47 mins*
You have got to tell me what it was all about. Maybe under your profile or mine. Sure, I can do that. 🙂August 28, 2016 at 6:49 pm #16323@bluejay. Okay! 🙂 I’ll try to get onto it today.
