@ClaireC No, I’ve never heard of freddo frogs before. What are they? Say, do you have scorpions over there in the desert part? We had a two- incher in our hallway last night; I’ve heard they sneak in through the air vents.
Oh, that’s too bad. 🙁 Are people upset if they see you about during school hours? I know that’s something my parents have to be really careful about. Will you be able to go to University when you graduate, or is that completely out of the question? In some states we’ve lived, Florida in particular, we had someone similar to a moderator- I think the state called her an evaluator- and once a year (I think) she would look at our work and tell us what public school grade we were equivalent with, and if we were ahead or behind. Is that what your moderator did?
We do use grades, although sometimes we are a little mixed up. For example, my brother might be doing tenth grade math and ninth grade grammar. I graduated last September, and it was pretty awesome. Being the oldest, I was the first of us children to graduate, so it was very emotional for my parents, because so many people had told them that they couldn’t do it, and they had.@clairec; @sarah-h; @kate-flournoy; @daeus; @overcomer; @dragon-snapper; @anna-brie; @rolena-hatfield; @emma-flournoy; @winter-rose; @jess @spradlin @all-of-my-friends and @everyone-else.
I am going to try something rather hard for me, but I feel like it will be good.
I am not going to read any books except the Bible or Biblical books for the next month, and I’d love all of you to pray for me.
I would also love you to keep me accountable. Whether that means you ask me how it is going everyday or every week I don’t know. You decide.
The only time I will read any other book is if it is a have to. i.e. Library book that has to go back.
So will you do that for me? You guys are AWESOME.@bluejay Oh, wow. Good for you! I’ll be praying for you. And, you know what, lately when I’ve tried to read fiction I just haven’t been able to get into it. I’m so hungry for the word of God right now (which is unusual for me; I love reading). So if you don’t mind, I’d like to do it with you. Are you starting September first?

Hey that’s awesome. I really want to hunger for His word. I love reading too, so this will be a good chance for me to deny myself and follow Christ.
Well, for me, I’m going to start tomorrow, but I think I’m going to extend my time and and go to the end of September. Will you do that too?@bluejay – Oh, yes. I was hoping to start tomorrow too, so that’s perfect. 🙂
I was thinking of committing to not read fiction next month. So I’m going to say now that I will do that. I’m not putting a limit on my non-fiction though as I just grabbed thick biography from the library, and I won’t be starting ’til next month as I have some things to finish.

@bluejay, can do, and good for you! And if you need suggestions on reading material: “Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus: A Devout Muslim Encounters Christianity” by Nabeel Qureshi is a good biography that still kind of feels like a story. It is very powerful, however, and it helped me understand (non-radical) Muslims better. 🙂 “I don’t have Enough Faith to be an Atheist” is also a really good one, but a heavier read. 🙂
