@bluejay I’m going one more day. Thank you for doing it with me! 🙂 I’ve been trying to not read your story. 🙂 Thank you for reminding me I only have one day left; I would’ve given in and read it if you hadn’t. My eyes have been hurting me, so I didn’t read as much as I would have liked. I think, though, that reading only the Bible helped me keep my mind on God more clearly. When I read fiction, I tend to spend most of my waking hours in that story world in my mind. While that was fun years ago, now that I’m a young adult I can’t help but feeling that I’m wasting my time when I do that. I feel like it’s time for me to get serious about my faith. And I don’t regret doing this at all. I’ll be up for doing it again sometime, if you or @clairec ever want to do it again, and if not I’ll probably do it by myself. I do enjoy fiction a lot, but taking a break from it every once in a while is good for me, I think. 🙂
September 30, 2016 at 4:32 am #18494@sarah-h Okay, yes I will definitely be with you.. *gasp* I didn’t realize that I put temptation in your path *weeps bitter tears*
I agree with you about living in a story world. Oh yes, I will be wanting to do this again.September 30, 2016 at 9:19 pm #18520@sarah-h and @bluejay, I don’t want to do it again this month, as it’s my birthday month, so I would like to treat myself a little bit. *giggle* Same with December, it’s holidays, so I’d like to have the freedom to read then. I can do November, though if you want. Man, I sound so selfish…
If you’ve read Do Hard Things or are on the Rebelution, I suppose what we’ve just done would be counted, huh? We could submit a post about what we’ve just done! I mean we’re writers and readers, so it was pretty hard, right? I’m mostly kidding about that post, by the way… 🙂 😛Official Member of the Certified Club of Aussie Kapeefers
October 3, 2016 at 2:29 am #18565@clairec @bluejay November sounds good to me, as long as neither of you are planning on doing NaNoWriMo. 🙂 If not, I can wait ’til next year (wow, that sound so far away…it’s only three months. This Arizona weather is disorienting me.) Sorry I missed a few days on here; I was on a camping trip. 🙂
October 3, 2016 at 2:54 am #18569October 3, 2016 at 3:15 am #18573@bluejay Yay, let’s do it! 🙂 (Althoughif something comes up, that’s okay.)
It was so much fun. We went with our youth group (it was my first time going as a leader, but the only leadery thing I did was try to stop one if my sixth-graders from going off with one of the boys. She wouldn’t listen, but I know what to do next time, so it won’t happen again.) Aside from that unpleasant experience, though, it was awesome. We also built forts in the mountainside and played paintball. Have you ever been paintballing? It hurts a lot close range, but strategy games like Capture the Flag and Protect the President are really fun.
October 3, 2016 at 3:29 am #18578@sarah-h I have never done paintball before, but I’ve heard about it. *annoyed grunt* That experience must have been trying. (I’m glad you know what to do next time.) I see a lot of that kind stuff when I do theatre. Hey, would you mind emailing through what you would do next time? Maybe I can prepare too. Just do the email I gave you for beta reading.
October 3, 2016 at 3:33 am #18580@bluejay Absolutely. I know, situations like that are so frustrating. Especially when it’s a naive twelve-year-old girl going with an older, super untrustworthy teen. Arrgh…
October 3, 2016 at 3:34 am #18581October 7, 2016 at 2:45 am #18785@clairec Okay, I’m back on track with quiet time. I might only do half an hour every morning, but it’s better than nothing. The more free time I have, the longer I’ll spend. How are you doing? I had this random idea. What if we pick a book of the New Testament, maybe one of Paul’s letters, to read together? You pick first. 🙂 @bluejay Do you want to too?

October 10, 2016 at 6:47 pm #18939@sarah-h Sorry I’ve taken so long to reply. I would love to, but I am a little bit too busy to fully commit. I would love to know what book of the Bible you and @clairec choose and I’ll see if I can follow along. I’ll try to spend some time with you, but this week is going to be so crazy with no spare time. After this week, I should be able to. 🙂
October 11, 2016 at 3:33 am #19009@bluejay Ooh, I like your profile picture! Is that in Australia? Don’t worry about it; life gets busy sometimes. I’m not sure where Claire is; maybe her Internet is down. I’ll tag you when we choose something. 🙂
