I was just in the midst of deciding on a name for my villain. He’s not the main villain, more like the face of the power behind it all. All I can think of are ‘K’ names and I don’t know if any of them fit the feel I’m going for for him. Right now I have Kalos, Kyllan, and Keardin… any suggestions?

I think I need more context for him to know what your going for, but I think I like Kalos the most as a villain name, though it is simple.
He is perfect in Justice, yet He is perfect in Mercy, even when we fail Him. For this, He is good.

I definitely like the Septrum better as a universe name.
As for the individual planets, the first thing that came to mind for me was just “a Septre” (could be pronounced “Septra” or “Septer”, whichever!), if the universe name and the planet name should be connected like that.
I love the Hebrew language, and to make something plural in Hebrew you usually just add an “im” (eem) sound to the end, so if you prefer, the universe could be called the “Septr’im”, instead, or that could just be the plural of “Septre”.
Just spitballing, here, don’t think I’ll be offended if you’re like, “Yeah, not feeling it.” lol
My association with “Kalos” is a region in one of the Pokemon games, but it’s certainly a good name!
I’m a fan of the name Killian, personally (it’s German, if I recall), but that might seem like you were attempting a play on words, if he’s a bad guy, and it might not be quite as mysterious and “face of the power behind it all”-y.
Does he have a title? Because if he has “Lord” or “President” in front of his name, that’ll change how many syllables you want.
Okay! So he was once a soldier that fought in a great war that was against one of the land’s greatest enemies. After what seemed like a victory a darkness comes and absorbs the entire army, covering the land with fear. Everyone thinks all of the men that day perished. But they didn’t. They are now being used as this darkness’ army and do whatever he bids. My character showed great strength and leadership so he was chosen as one of the main commanders of this dark army.
I’m still in the midst of developing his personality but he is strong-willed, a natural leader, and also has a gentle side.
I’m not exclusively sticking to ‘K’ names, they just happened to be the top 3 names. So I’m open to any other suggestions!

At the moment, he is a commander. So other characters would call him Commander _____, or maybe go as far as calling him Lord _____.

Thanks! Yeah, I really like Septrum, my sister keeps saying it sounds not as cosmic for some reason though, so I’m still not sure. Hebrew is really cool! Thanks for point that out, I don’t know if I’ll go with it, but It’s definitely worth looking into. I suppose another thing is that the “planets” are not what makes up the Universe though, they are a key thing, but what it fundamentally is actually comes down to the dual nature of these opposing forces we call the Everything and the Nothing. So that’s another thing to consider.

Ok, do you think that this Darkness might give him a new name as well? If not, what language dose he speak, if your not into getting into languages, that’s fine, but it’s worth considering. If he’s the face, the charisma perhaps, then maybe a name that feels more heroic, but still off putting somewhat, depending on how much you want it to be face value that these guy’s are evil, or these guy’s are nice, but secretly evil, or whatever else. If your not into Ks, then maybe look into the IPA: https://www.ipachart.com/ , find different consonants you like, then work out which ones get the best vibe for you. Your not sure about Ks, but you’ve been dwelling on those, so are you maybe more into the idea of hard consonants for him? Also you seem to prefer soft consonant endings. So some others could be “d” “t” “g” ect. Maybe names like, Comander/Lord Drath, Dalthos, Drain, Talth, Tlaiv, Trasin, Gaiv, Grahr, Gurvos. Those are just random variants that could be mixed and matched if you like any of them.

Yep, I use it all the time when conlanging. It’s a catalog of all the different sounds humans have ever made speaking some language. So you can find some exotic sounds there for stuff, like basic consonants and vowels, but also trills, stops, clicks, ect. It’s fun:)
