Well…. to be fair to Wanda

in her mind Steve only wants the stones so he can go live a life with Peggy

and she wants the stones to live with Vision…

        so…

I’m really having trouble hating Wanda, XD

          @smiley

          *sighs*

But that isn’t the only reason Steve wants to go back…now all of the other realities are messed up because Wanda won’t let him go back…

          and…i mean….I don’t hate her…it’s just…I’m getting annoyed by her XXD

still love the fic tho 🥰

See when I imagine Wanda’s grief, I have trouble truly hating her

as she’ll say later in the fic

I lost people who couldn’t be returned in a snap

not to mention that she was the one who had to kill Vision, which is terrible on so many levels

              Here’s another chapter!!!

              Chapter 6

The crowd applauded as Carrots reappeared in the hat. Tommy slipped Carrots out of the hat, and then put it on, taking a bow, Billy following suit.

Wanda smiled at her two sons, of course, she could put on a wild magic show with her powers, but this was just fun and playful.

Billy and Tommy ran off the stage, taking a seat next to Wanda and Vision.

“That was amazing!” Wanda hugged her children.

“Thanks! It was so much fun, and to think Billy was worried,”

“I was not! You were the worried one,”

              “Was not!”

“Boys! Your partners, and besides you were both nervous,” Wanda stated dividing the two boys.

“That was amazing!” Steve stated giving both of the boys a high-five.

“You two were wonderful,” Peggy stated, smiling at the boys.

              “Do you think we won?”

“Are you kidding? With that act, you could never lose,”

Just as Steve said that, Molly went onto the stage, wearing tap shoes, and holding a flaming baton.

Everyone stood in awe watching her, it was clear who had won.

“I told you we should have added flames,” Billy protested to his brother.

“You guys did great, even if you didn’t win,” Vision stated. “Me and your mother couldn’t be more proud of you,”

“That’s right, you guys put on a fabulous show,” Wanda hugged her children once again.

“Thanks… but Carrots was really looking forward to her new mansion,” Billy said with disappointment.

“Yeah, especially after she did so well with the disappearing act,”

“Well now you have a whole year to make your act perfect, and you’ll for sure win,” Peggy stated, trying to be optimistic.

“I guess,” The boys still looked sad, but they looked forward to coming back next year and beating them all.

              ~*~

Peggy looked at Wanda, and then gestured out the window, with a smile. Steve and Vision were out by the grill, both looking confused.

“Should we go outside and help them?” Peggy asked, looking at the struggling men.

Wanda laughed. “Nah, they’ll figure it out,” Wanda looked around the kitchen. “But we should probably make a good salad just in case,”

              Peggy chuckled. “Probably,”

Peggy looked at what of the shelves and grabbed a book. “Sokovian recipes, this sounds good,”

“Yeah… I guess I forgot to return that to Molly,”

“We could use it, here’s a recipe for a chicken salad,”

“My Mother used to make that… for us,” Wanda’s face saddened, just as her sons came rushing through the door.

They took a seat on the couch and turned on the tv.

“Sokovian apartment building gets attacked by bombs, reports claim that some were trapped in the building for a few days, and there were a lot of casualties, and many were left widows, widowers, and yes orphans,”

Wanda looked at the tv screen, the words from the news sinking in.

              “How terrible,” Peggy exclaimed.

Tears rolled down Wanda’s face, and she swallowed, wiping them away. And then walking over to the boys.

              “I think that’s enough tv,”

The boys sighed turning off the tv.

“Okay…” Billy ran upstairs, Tommy following him.

Wanda turned back to Peggy and smiled. “Very tragic, but we don’t have to worry about that,”

She didn’t want to worry about it.

                @smiley wow……

She doesn’t actually seem like a villain when she’s taking care of her family. I can see how neither side is truly black or white here. Great job!

Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.

                    @everyone

I’ve been seeing things on Pinterest

Where if you look at Wanda’s face when she’s fading away from the snap

                    She actually looks relieved

Like she couldn’t stand to live a life time of missing Vision

                    And that broke my heart

Okay… yes he will be heart broken, but then he’ll return the stones and lice his life with Peggy

And at least he doesn’t have kids in the town

                          Sadly Wanda does

                          And… things

                              I have more chapters!!!

                              Chapter 7

“Mom! Mom!” Billy cried from his bedroom. Pain tinged at his voice, a pain Wanda recognized, a pain of grief.

“Hurry!” Tommy shouted, having the same voice.

“I’m coming,” Wanda ran up the stairs to the kids’ bedroom.

“It’s Carrots, she’s not waking up!” Billy said, tears coming down his face.

“Oh my darlings,” Wanda pulled her sons into an embrace. She put her hands on the boys’ shoulders and looked at them. “We’re going to take her to the vet, and I’m sure everything will be fine,”

The boys wiped their eyes, feeling hopeful.

                              ~*~

“She was the best bunny ever,” Tommy stated, clutching his Mom.

“I know dear,” Wanda kissed the top of his head. “I know,”

“It’s not fair, we only had her for a few days, and we managed to kill her,” Billy stated shamefully.

“It wasn’t your fault, she had lung problems, it could have happened to any bunny.” Vision stated, hugging his son.

“I just wished it hadn’t happened,” Tommy said.

“Guys, some things happen, and we lose people, and we just have to learn to accept that, because some things are just forever,” Wanda stated closing her eyes in pain. “And sometimes you really don’t see it coming,”

The boys tried to accept that fact, but it was hard.

                              ~*~

Wanda stood in the kitchen the next morning. Things seemed better now, Carrots had gotten a proper funeral, and the boys were okay.

Wanda took a seat on the couch, she was bored and needed something to do. It was so much quieter with her sons and husband out of the house.

                              “Guess what?!”

Wanda jumped in shock as she turned to see Molly, and a taller man following her.

“Molly you startled me,” Why couldn’t this girl use a doorbell ever? Instead of just walking through the back door all the time.

“Well sorry, but I thought I’d introduce you to the new neighbor,” Molly gestured to the man. “This is James, James this is Wanda,”

Wanda put on a smile. “It’s nice to meet you, and welcome to the neighborhood.”

“Oh… how are the boys?” Molly asked. She had heard about Carrots’ death.

“They’re better now,” Wanda stated, folding her hands together.

“Wanda has twins,” Molly said looking at James.

“Yeah, I had some siblings too, what about you guys?” James said looking at Molly and Wanda.

“Not me, but my parents spoiled me,” Molly said with a big laugh.

Wanda thought about the question, a few memories coming back. “I’m a twin, I had a brother, his name was… Pietro,”

“I didn’t know that,” Molly said, with a light smile. “I’m going to go use the bathroom real quick.”

James looked at Wanda, his eyes searching hers. “Had?”

“Yeah…” Wanda’s face saddened. “He uh… he died,”

“To Ultron right?” James was trying to be subtle, but it was hard with Wanda.

Something flipped in Wanda, realizing what James had just said. She looked down at his hands, reaching out to grab his left.

She then looked up at him.

“I like the metal one better,”

Terror went across Jame’s face. “Wanda…”

Wanda used her powers to grab a microphone clipped to Bucky’s shirt. that had been put there by Clint.

“You’ve mind-controlled Vision, Steve, but most of all you’ve mind-controlled yourself,”

“You know nothing about me, so don’t pretend that you do,”

                              “Wanda… we need the stones,”

“How dare you, come into my house and try to take everything from me,” Wanda tilted her head.

And James wanted to run, but his feet felt planted to the ground, there was nothing he could do.

                              ~*~

Bucky hit the ground hard, but nothing was broken. Wanda hadn’t actually hurt him, just used the space stone to teleport him back to the S.W.O.R.D. tent.

“Bucky! Are you okay?” Clint asked helping him up.

                              “Yeah… I’m fine,”

                              “What happened?”

“Didn’t you see it on the screen? She got really mad at me,”

“No all we saw was Molly leaving the room, and then it cut out,” Clint stated, by now they were in the tent.

“Wait a second… show me the dinner,”

Bucky and Clint watched the scene, where Vision and the boys had left to get Carrots, but then the video jumped to when Peggy arrived.

“Do you think Steve tried to talk to Wanda? During the time in between?” Clint asked turning to look at Bucky.

                              “That’s what I’m betting,”

“Guys we found something,” Peter said entering the room, Sam right behind him.

                              Chapter 8

“I don’t get it, what are we looking at?” Bucky asked looking at the items on the table.

“Things we found in her car,” Peter replied.

“Wait a second… you searched her car?!” Clint looked at the two guys. “And we wonder why she built her own reality,”

“Back to the poin- wait Bucky how are you here?” Peter raised an eyebrow.

“Wanda wasn’t satisfied with his acting skills,” Clint grinned.

“Very funny, but I was really good at it.”

“I had some siblings too, what about you guys,” Clint stated in a mocking tone. “Way to be discrete,”

                              “Whatever,”

“Guys, can we get back to the matter at hand,” Sam said, he loved to make fun of Bucky, but what he and Peter found was crucial.

“Look at this,” Peter pulled a piece of paper out of an envelope. Revealing a property deed.

                              “What is it?”

“It’s the deed to the very spot where Wanda built her fake house, and look at the signatures,”

“Wanda and Vision…” Clint realized what it meant after he said it.

“It was purchased before the battle in Wakanda,”

Bucky and Clint looked at each other.

“Poor Wanda, she had her whole life figured out, and then she had to destroy it,” Bucky’s face saddened, he couldn’t hold any anger over Wanda, not after seeing this.

“What’s this?” Clint pointed to a heart on the map, with words written in the center. “To grow old in – V”

“Vision must have written it as a sweet message, he probably had no idea what it would mean to Wanda,”

                              “And the phone?”

“Well I was looking at her GPS, and I found out she went to S.W.O.R.D. headquarters and then she went to her property,”

“So Sam what were you doing while the kid was finding all this out?” Bucky asked smirking at Sam.

                              “I helped,”

“But don’t we already know this? Cause that’s when she built Vision,” Clint stated.

“No, this was a few days before,” Peter started searching for something on the phone. “Which got me wondering, how she knew Vision was at S.W.O.R.D. headquarters, and then I checked her emails and found this,”

                              Everyone looked at the phone.

“Someone tipped her off, but who is it?”

“I don’t know, the sender is unknown,”

“Is there any way to find out?”

“Yeah, but it’s going to be a little bit,”

“Until then we need to find another way to contact Wanda,” Clint paced back and forth trying to think.

“You could just talk to her,” Sam pointed out the window.

Wanda was coming out of the force field, getting closer to the tent.

                              ~*~

As soon as she stepped out of the force field, a hundred green dots landed on her, lasers from snipers.

“Wanda!” Clint ran out of the tent, stopping a few feet away from her.

“You forgot this,” Wanda held up the microphone she had taken off of Bucky.

Wanda tossed it at Clint’s feet.

“Please just leave me and my family in peace, and we’ll leave you alone,”

Clint took a few steps closer, looking at Wanda. The way he had so many years ago when they were fighting Ultron. He cared about her, in a role model-type way, or something of the sort.

                              “What happened to you, Wanda?”

Wanda laid her hand on the side of Clint’s head. Tears coursed down her face. “I lost people…,” she swallowed. “Who couldn’t be returned in a snap,”

Clint looked at Wanda, he didn’t want this for her. She deserved so much better.

“I promise I won’t hurt you or anyone else, and I’ll let Steve go, but I can’t give you the stones, I’ll lose my kids, my husband, and I know you know how that feels.”

Clint closed his eyes, a part of him wanted to help Wanda. Because he knew that nothing seemed more important than your family.

“I’m not the bad guy here, the bad guys were Ultron and Thanos, I’m just the conclusion,”

Wanda went back inside the force field but dropped a piece of paper as she left.

Clint picked it up and read what was inside.

A perfect reality would have you and your family in it, but we don’t always get to choose.

Clint looked back at the tent, where Peter, Sam, and Bucky were watching from the window.

His face saddened, and he clutched his fists.

He wanted so badly to let Wanda live in peace, but… he had a job to do, right?
