I’m a huge HTTYD fan as well… On note of Ranger’s Apprentice, I actually haven’t gotten farther than the fourth book…though its good to know that *SPOILER ALERT* Alyss won’t be around for any other books…I never liked her anyways. She was too proud and uppity.
@rolena-hatfield Dragons do not tell their passengers where they are taking them…though, I suppose our final and true destination is with Jesus in paradise. We can go their together! I can’t decide whether I like peanut butter or not…I don’t like crunchy, only creamy and on very, very small levels.

So have you read any Biggles’ books?*Comes in running* I HEARD THE WORDS RANGER’S APPRENTICE! I really enjoyed those books, I’ve actually been thinking about doing a book review on the series. @dragon-snapper, Welcome, welcome, you’ve stumbled into quite a strange place. But it seems we came be friends because *gasp* you don’t like Alyss. It’s okay @bluejay, we’ve got each other. 🙂 Just kidding, I’m glad you have joined our forum I can’t wait to get to know you better.

@Bluejay and @christi-eaton So sorry I don’t like Alyss…as a dragon, we don’t like it when people hold themselves in higher regard than us. Alyss was master at that. In light of it, I told Flanagan to do something about it. 😉

So, I’ve been reading the Ranger’s Apprentice more–I’m now on the eigth book–and you should be happy to hear that I’m starting to like Alyss. 😀 Just thought you might want to know that. Halt, Gilan and Svengal are still my favorite characters, but I like Alyss as well.☀ ☀ ☀ ENFP ☀ ☀ ☀
@dragon-snapper I’m glad, glad, glad. 🙂 I can understand your dislike for her, but right from the start I like her, because she stood up for Will when Horace teased and bullied him.

I love Halt, and I really like Gilian and Horace and Will. I don’t care for the books themselves as much as I used to though. There is so much telling and the character’s are fairly one-dimensional. *bites lip* “glances to either side* *loosens dagger and prepares to defend self from outraged lovers of the books* I do like the stories…well, most of them. Character and plot wise, I think the first two were the best.

@hope, don’t worry. I’m not holding that against you. I agree that he has way too many long paragraphs and I want to get to the dialogue. I probably wouldn’t notice that if I weren’t a writer, but I am, so I see it whether I like it or not. I guessed who the bad guy was in one of the first chapters in one of them if that says anything. *run to other side of you with dagger– danger is lurking around every corner*
@jess Yes, Halt is awesome! sure, he has no care for chilvary or anything, but ranger’s wouldn’t be rangers if they cared for tea-time. Now, coffee time is another thing.
@bluejay I suppose that is a good reason to like her. I think that I didn’t like her because of her tall, graceful form and all. It made her seem arrogant, but the more adventures she went on, the more I saw she was more than just that.☀ ☀ ☀ ENFP ☀ ☀ ☀
@kate-flournoy Hey, you asked me once where my name comes from. Well, it’s kinda cute actually. When I was younger I got my Mom snapdragons (the flower) for her birthday. Only, I couldn’t say it right, so it ended up being a dragon snapper. I got her dragon snappers.

@dragon-snapper I’ve heard about it. Is there a trailer yet? I have mixed feelings about the books, but I want to see the movie if they do it well.
