@lrose5. Yep. XD There is! Between Leon and Aadelheide, and Riker and Iris. Leon and Aadelheide are more quietly sweet and caring romance, whereas Riker and Iris are still sweet and caring, but they’re more playful and teasing with each other. ๐

Yes!! Do you have any tips for outlining? Like do you recommended planning each chapter and scene or just the basic idea? lol *hates to start another topic but wonders if she should*You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.

@lrose5 HA. HA HA HA HA. Girl, my outlines are (1) nonexistent or (2) a humongous mess. I’m the worst person to ask about plotting/outlining, because I am SUCH a pantser. XD
BUT, you asked, so I will answer…
Iย don’t recommend planning out each chapter/scene, because you’ll (1) lose the exploration/discovery element of writing and thereby lose motivationย to write, (2) lose a lot of your creativity, and (3) stress yourself out.
SO, at least for the first draft, I would nail down your beginning, middle, and end…develop your characters THOROUGHLY…and list about three “main events” and where they’ll take place in the story. They don’t have to necessarily correspond with your beginning, middle, and end, but they’ll basically be your inciting incident and climax and whatnot. That way, you have an idea of the structure of your story and goals to work toward.
In my experience, I like taking a couple months just to really get the beginning (i.e., first two to ten chapters) as strong as possible, then I’ll startย really writing. Once I’m about a third of the way or halfway through the story, and I can see how my story is unfolding and what the pacing is, I’ll sit down and roughly outline the rest of the book. Y’know, in Chapter 27, this might happen, and that’ll last until Chapter 29, when this happens. I always give myself room to change and “move around,” but I usually only end up a couple chapters off my outline!
Once you make it to the second (or third or fourth) draft, you can create a strict outline based on your first draft!
Either way, do what works for YOU!

XDD I figure I’m an outliner bc I feel good about this novel with the little outlining i’ve done. lol The other time I tried not to outline… yeah. lolAh, ok! One of my problems is Not knowing what exactly is the beginning, middle, and end. I haven’t really mastered figuring that out in movies and books quite yet. lol I think I might have the beginning (since I wrote a sentence or two about the first seven chapters to get a basic idea of how it’s starting so I don’t give up right away) and I definitely know when it’s ending, but that’s just the historic timeline. Wait, I might actually have the character arc/timeline thingy. *thinks* *googles what exactly inciting incident means* Hm. I got a climax and just came up with an inciting incident I think and I just need the end. But doesn’t emotional change happen slowly and over time and not all at once? lol So I think I may have it? Idk. lol

@lrose5 Awesome!
Well, just think about it like the beginning is the actual beginning of the book and the end is the actual end…but the middle isn’t always the actual middle of the book – it’s when you notice a shift between where your plot and/or characters are in the beginning, when the real change happens. Make sense?
Anyway, sounds good! Best of luck! ๐

Ahh, ok! So what would a setback emotionally be? Would that be the middle emotionally?You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.
