I love the idea! I’ve always been a failure at writing blurbs, but yours sounds like a published book! Oooh, I love Dabir’s moodboard! The quote about time is so sad!

Sooo…what’s the big secret about Amir’s parents?

Hehe… Ok. So it’s a working idea, and it may change eventually as I flesh out the story more, but basically his parents are double agents. They actually work for the shah and are 100% loyal to him. But as part of that work, they pretend that they are loyal to the conspiracy. So they help out the conspiracy, planning to actually uproot them when the time comes. Obviously, Amir believes his parents would never do such a thing as be a part of the conspiracy, so when they allow him to be captured, he’s hurt and searching for a way to prove to himself their innocence. Eventually everything is explained to him.

Dabir is also hoarding many secrets, which I think will have to do with his past, his regrets, Kian (the villain), and why Amir was sheltered his whole life. But I haven’t figured that all out yet. 🙃

Yes, they are. My grandpa was Persian, so I want to base this storyworld’s culture kind of off of that.
