@gretald Hi Greta! I’ve noticed how much and how reverently you talk of God on Kingdom Pen; I really want to be like that too, but it doesn’t come as easy for me anymore. I was wondering, what do you do to cultivate your relationship with the Lord? I’m sorry if this is too personal a question; you certainly don’t have to answer if you don’t want to. Have a blessed day!

Thank you so much for this kind comment! This is about the nicest thing anyone has ever told me. 🙂
I honestly totally understand that it sometimes is difficult to talk about God in a public setting. It’s easier online than it is in person. God’s just been teaching me lately that I should be willing to bring Him into my conversations. The least I can do is mention His name, which could lead to further questions, and hopefully, it would lead to someone coming to Christ!
I think being a part of a church and a community of fellow Christians is a HUGE part of growing in your relationship with the Lord. I’ve been learning this recently because my family and I have been out of a church for a few years, and we’re just now going back to church. The thing I missed the most during our time out of a church was the community. It was hard to be isolated for so long.
I don’t have all the answers. If you’re searching to get into a deeper relationship with God, just pray that God will show you what it takes to go deeper. I’ve been feeling “lukewarm” in my walk with God lately, and I want to snap out of it and be on fire for Him.
Hope this is encouraging to you! No, this question was not too personal at all. Please don’t worry about asking questions on KP. We’re all here to lift each other up! 🙂
      Blessings,
      Greta

    • Thank you so much for that. I wish I had a friend like you in real life (well, not that this isn’t real life…someone I could see, I suppose, haha). I believe God honors a heart that is turned toward Him. Don’t turn away; it causes a lot of heartache.
      Blessings,
      Hannah

Aww, thank you, @dancefree7. I totally know what you mean about having Christ-like friends. I don’t have many of them, and I yearn for the deeper conversations you can have with such friends. Please don’t hesitate to ask for anything. If you want, I can give you my email. Your comments have been very encouraging to me, and I would love to get to know you better and hear your story. 🙂

        • That’s awesome; and yes, I’d love to have your email, but wouldn’t want you to post it online…Whatever you would like to do! : )
