Eiraketh was founded fairly recently, becoming an official country in 1219 AD.
The people of Eiraketh are known as the Belic. The land was originally belonged to the Corvioan, people who lived in The Neck of Esara since the early years of 829 AD, and who owned most of the land eastward. The names of the countries that exist now were originally the names of Esara’s states—Elandor, Eronia, Estavia, Elais, Enoria. These states collectively were known as the Largland States of Esara.
The land was peaceful until 1004 AD, when a large community called the Hadran fought against the government and created their own free nation, The Republic of Elandor. The Hadran were a group of people who followed the laws of the land externally, but did whatever they wanted and spoke however they wanted in their homes and in private meetings. They already hated the Corvioan government, but they really revolted after the confused governor of Elandor (a Corvioan official) executed three Hadran merchants because they were accused of tax evasion. What seems like a small reason for war was just the tipping point for the Hadran.
Note: the term Hadran eventually becomes what all people for Elandor are known as racially, but in ancient days it was political. When the Republic of Elandor separated itself, it split the main nation in two: The Neck of Esara on one side and the larger main body of states on the other side (the largeland states). In order to communicate with the Corvioan on either side, they would sail across the sea around Elandor with news, ordinances or reports. This inconvenience caused the largeland states to go without news and updates for long periods of time.
The eastern and southern states, Enoria and Elais respectively, felt the most abandoned of all. They were the largest. Because news was not spread around easy enough, the king in the Neck of Esara would make and ordnance restricting something, and then would crack down hard on the states even though the people didn’t know things were officially forbidden.
This mistreatment went on for twenty nine years.
Elais and Enorian civilians grew angry at the Corvioan rulers, and so they broke away from the nation, working together to create the Elaisorian Empire in 1030. The Corvioan rulers in the Neck of Esara were angry that they lost more states, so they attempted to reclaim what was theirs in 1032 AD.
The Neck of Esara lost the war, because the residents of the Elaisorian Empire were sick and tired of the mistreatment and refused to submit. In 1033, Esara pushed to keep the other states on its side, since rumors. They lightened the taxes and ordinances for two years, and slowly introduced them back for the following eight years. This time, they dedicated a group of workers to spread news harder than before, making sure everyone knew and understood laws and had time to adapt to them.
Still, the Corviaon beyond the Neck of Esara still hated the current ruling line. Rumors were being passed around in Eronia and Estavia that someone was planning to assassinate the ruiling line and take the throne.
Tharivelle IV was queen during this time in Esara. She was the wife of Sarvion the king, and she advised him to have a public execution of all those who spoke publicly about assassination. Sarvion disagreed, mentioning that that would reduce taxable population and fuel the hatred. She cried to him about how fearful she was for her life, but he refused to do as she advised.
Estavia broke away from the Neck of Esara in 1072, calling its people the Aviaites. This breakaway was considered the most peaceful, because the Neck of Esara did not try to win them back. Esara was going through a desperate winter and political fatigue, and they knew the Aviaites had bonded strong enough to fight back anyway. In order to keep economy running, the Neck of Esara let them slide.
In the Elaisorian Empire, the civilians—who called themselves the Ordanese—officially tore down old Corvioan nature sanctuaries, and set up their government: two sovereigns for both sides of the nation, and several lower rulers to assist the sovereigns. There was a political divide about how the country should be run, which is why it took them nearly forty years to make their government official. Some wanted to be a democracy or republic, and some wanted a ruler to make decisions for them. To avoid a ton of conflict the Ordanese tried both ways: for the first twenty or so years they were a democracy, and for the rest a federal / sovereign system.
Those who didn’t like the sovereign system even after is was made official called themselves the Belic. They were quiet about their beliefs, and so for hundreds of years they said nothing against the system. They believed, however, that with a single or couple men ruling, the chances of an unfair or biased government are high.
Eronia finally revolted from the Neck of Esaria in 1149 AD, founding their own country.
The Belic revolted against the Elaisorian Empire, claiming their independence in 1218 AD. They officially named their new country Eiraketh, and they set up a ruling council.
