Sorry everyone for not being on for a while. KP was banned on our family computer because our online security system flagged it as a threat for whatever reason. I have the same security system on my laptop, and it’s okay with KP on here*shrug*
It’s been very laggy and overall glitchy for my laptop though, so some days it takes forever to just get to the log in page and then i just give up.
Doesn’t help my life was pretty busy, and my creativity decided to die to see if I would mourn at its funeral.
But yeah, hopefully I’m back now fingers crossed

Good to see you back at least! Perhaps your creativity will return. Is there any project you feel like working on?
Hello!
I want to redraw Injin, and draw a new Chase drawing as far as art goes. Writing? I’m trying to come up with a new WIP. Guardian Angels is on hold still, The Baron Chronicles can’t be published yet due to I don’t have the finances (and my dad doesn’t want me to get a job due to current health issues. fair), and all my other stories have main characters sure, but none of them really have the right message, if you know what I mean. *sigh*
Art goals, fair. Who is Injin? A new Chase drawing would be welcome on the art chat if you decide you like the finished product. I know that’s not guaranteed; I’m trying to draw a new character of mine and I’m feeling 50/50 about sharing it. lol.
*Rubs hands together* New WIPs are practically a guilty pleasure once you figure out what you want to do. Good luck with that. What do you mean by right message? Are you struggling to find that inner drive of the story, or is it the drive itself that isn’t right?
Injin is a charrie who I posted a single piece on a while back. He’s basically a bookworm who helps run a bookshop but there’s something almost shady about him.
I’ll take that as encouragement. People don’t usually say that about my charries, thank you.
by right message I mean like what I want the story to teach, or show the reader. For instance, in the Baron Chronicles, it’s about forgiveness and hope no matter what. That’s a message I needed to hear, and i know others need to hear, and even if someone doesn’t exactly need to hear specifically that message, the entire story still reminds the reader how great our God is, so I hope no matter what it still has some effect on the reader. In Guardian Angels, the message was meant to be that no matter how dark the valley, God will still bring you back to Him in the end, that it’s just a trial to make you stronger. Again a message I needed and need to hear and I know others need to hear, and even more need to be reminded of that fact.
I’m trying to find that truth that fits the story and characters that people need to hear. I’ve been thinking about it, and I’m wondering if I should pick up my Gabriel Mai and write a story about him. He believes that a god exists, but he thinks he’s fine, that he’s a good person and will go to heaven. So I could make the message that we are imperfect sinners who need God, who can’t be good on our own, that even our “righteous” deeds are tainted with our sin. But I feel like it isn’t THE thing I want to tell. Maybe it is, IDK.
And yes, the inner drive is also slightly dead right now, but I think once I find the right charrie, plot, and message, I’ll find my drive. That’s how it was with Baron. He wasn’t even supposed to ever get a story, but then all the elements fell into place and I was furiously writing about him.
Plus, the only reason Guardian Angels is on hold is because of plot. If I could fix the plot and be happy with it, I’d be writing that monstrosity right now. But yeah, that’s my rant.
also, sorry for replying so late, KP hasn’t been letting me post my updates recently.
Ah… I must not have seen the post you made with Injin. Or I just don’t remember the name.
Yep! I like seeing how you get more confident with each drawing.
I see. Yeah, it takes a while to invest yourself in something new when the characters are still underdeveloped. I’m working on that right now. I always feel meh about my new characters when I first write them, which is not helpful when the words need to flow.
Perhaps you don’t have to come up with a message as much as find a wholesome story in which to revel? Sometimes it’s nice to thematically put your feet up. Or maybe you have a question about something, and you don’t have an answer yet, but you can explore the problem through a story. I had a question about myself and put the question in Marcel’s story, which is why he’s a comfort character. A question instead of a “moral” also helps you stick with the character’s story because you want to know how the story ends just as much as an imaginary reader would.
Haha, I wish I could give suggestions for the Guardian Angels plot, but I’m confused enough with my plots as it is. XD
