Hi, Kefa. It’s important to remind you that the stuff you brought up is not okay to describe on KP.
It’s horrible to hear that this happened to you, and I don’t want to minimize the impact it has on your emotions and on your family when they find out. I didn’t mention guidelines in my previous post because obviously this is all very shocking for you, and I get that you wanted to tell somebody right away. But sexual discussions are against KP guidelines. I would recommend you remove the post; unfortunately that doesn’t work without a mod around.
We care about your safety; we aren’t trying to silence you. There is nothing wrong with discussing sexual topics in the right places. I just want you to understand that we cannot help you to the extent that others can. There are many different teenagers and young adults on here, with various life experiences and personalities. Some of them might be negatively impacted just by reading about this. For example, I have a younger sister on here who is only 13. I don’t want her to read about stuff like this. The emotional impact it can have online is not healthy, even for you and me.
I want to reinforce that the only people who should know that much about what happened to you are 1. Your parents, 2. Any important authorities in your life, and 3. Legal authorities if necessary. Your privacy is important and I don’t want you to lose it online. This is the kind of thing that you should not tell random people, let alone random online people.
All this said, I don’t want you to feel like you did something heinously wrong that should be punished. You did do something wrong, but in light of the circumstances, I understand that you are a teenager looking for comfort in other teenagers. I get that. We encourage you to ask for prayer. The details of why you need prayer, however, should be vague because of innocent younger members on the site. Now that you know, you can be more careful about discussing sensitive topics in the future.
