@freed_and_redeemed something just happened that I had to share with someone.
For the first time in a long time I felt the urge to read my Bible. I keep my Grandma’s old NKJV near where I sleep for such rare occasions, and after reading a couple passages in Psalms she had bookmarked, I noticed a pink envelope behind the front cover of the Bible, with a card in it. There was no name on the envelope. I took the card out and under a watercolor painting of a book and some flowers were the verses “Blessed is he whose hope is in the Lord his God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them–the Lord who remains faithful forever.” Psalm 146:5,6. Inside, there were two flaps, one covering the other. The top one said “As you go through life’s greatest sorrow–the loss of someone you love–may your own faith in God sustain you…bringing you comfort today, courage for tomorrow, and hope in your heart always.” Finally, the last flap read, “With deepest sympathy and prayers” and finally, my Grandmother’s name in her own, beautiful cursive hand, ‘Sandy Eisele’.
I started crying at this point, because, my Grandma’s name was the only one on the card, and she left no other personal note to whoever she meant this for, which is so unlike her, and I realized maybe God meant it that way, maybe He meant Grandma to never finish and give this card to whoever it was meant for so I could find it. Maybe it was meant as a last message from her.
