Thought I’d pass this along to you cause you like Cruz and all. I’m contacting almost everyone I know in the state, and that includes you. I’m lazy so I just copied and pasted the email I just sent out. Let me know if you’re interested.

Hello Everyone,

As you know the election is coming up real soon and for once I’m off the couch.

This means serious business and it also means we all have a great reason to get together –

So we’ve all heard this is the most important election ever. Yeah, that’s cool, so what are we going to do about it? Something pretty sweet, that’s what. Let me start from the beginning…

My friend Sawyer and I are supporters of Ted Cruz. Not only does he say highly conservative things, he actually does them. I and many of you are convinced that Senator Cruz will best represent our conservative Christian values and defend them. This is where I come to the action part of this email.

Senator Cruz actually has a really good chance at this election, but we need to do our part. Can you help? I’ve got a plan, and it’s a fun plan. The Cruz campaign is asking for volunteers to make phone calls to support his campaign. That may sound a little uncomfortable, but when I explain what that will actually involve, I think you’ll see it’s really very doable – even fun. But of course we need to make it funner, sooooo……….

I’m doing this:

My friend Sawyer and I will be hosting a Cruz Caller Get Together. Anyone who is willing to join us in supporting the Cruz campaign with phone calls is invited. We will spend the evening working together to win our state (cause who want’s to be a loner?), going over how to make the calls so you can feel confident about yourself, and of course hanging out a little. Oh, and we’ll also be reaching out to supportive local restaurants to see if they’ll donate meals for this event. If this sounds interesting, read on.

Here’s the information about our event:

The event will be held at NarrowWay Truck Repair, 2309 Williams Road Columbus Ohio 43207.
The event will begin at 6:00pm this Friday (March 11th). At this business location, My friends dad, Mr. Laubenthal, will be helping us host this event. He will be helping us get thing rolling, going over logistics of the shop, and supervising. My friend and I will open with a session on how to make the calls and answer any questions you might have. After that, we’ll dive right into the calls and keep at it until about 9:00pm.
You are free to drop in at any time if you are unable to arrive at the start.
We’d love it if you’d come. We think doing this together will make it really enjoyable

Here’s the information about how to make the calls (and why you can definitely do it):

The Cruz campaign is making it easy for us. You don’t even need a phone to make these calls and it won’t cost you anything. All you need is a laptop, tablet, or smartphone to make these calls. It’s all done through the internet using an application called i360. That is literally all you’ll need for this event. Don’t worry about what you’ll say because it’s really simple. They even have a script you can read from if you want to. It basically goes like this. You call somebody and say, “Hi, I’m working for the Ted Cruz campaign. Will you be supporting Senator Cruz in this election?” They can either say yes, no, or maybe.
If they say yes, you ask them if they want to volunteer for the campaign or if they would be interested in showing up for a rally.
If they say no, you thank them and say bye.
If they say maybe, you can ask them what would turn them in favor of Senator Cruz or why they are unsure about him. You can then answer any questions they have. We will be providing you with a cheat sheet to answer the most likely questions you may face. If however you can’t answer a question, no sweat! You can just refer them to the Ted Cruz website. It literally is that easy. Just ask 2 or 3 simple friendly questions. You can do this!!!!!!!
We encourage you to use the training you will learn at this get-together to continue making calls on Saturday.

If you’re thinking, I can do this, I need to do this, this looks awesome, my mom’s gonna make me do this, or I really want to do this, here’s what you need to do. Just send me an email ASAP saying that you’ll be coming to our Cruz Caller Get Together. We need a head count so we can get things prepared for everybody who’s gonna be there.
