Alone. Banished. I slide into my usual seat in the corner of my living room, a computer screen in front of me. I sigh; another day of just sitting here, looking at this screen. When’s gym day? Oh, day after tomorrow. When’s this project due? Day after gym.
It’s the monotone of my life, staring at a computer screen as I scroll through and adjust computer code. Not even meals usually can totally pull me away from this buntch of pixels. Gym day is the only day that sets the week apart, the one day I don’t look at this screen at all.
I find myself always here, always with some job to do for a chunk of cash. I’m the best hacker this side of the galaxy, and the best computers programmer that I know of. I’ve got high credentials.
Do I love my job? I can’t say. I just would love to be…home.
