ABOUT KINGDOM PEN
Kingdom Pen Exists to provide a trusted learning and development ecosystem for Christian writers. We are honored to help authors at all stages of their journey make progress toward new levels of success. Whether you’re an aspiring author or an accomplished one, we’re here for you.
OUR MISSION
Kingdom Pen was founded in winter 2011 when a Christian teenager aspired to help young writers produce fiction that was not only clean and family-friendly but was very well-written and meaningful.
Christians can write stories that resonate with, and profoundly move, people for the glory of God. Unfortunately, however, many Christian novels today are cliched and preachy. Authors are more focused on ramming the Gospel down readers’ throats than crafting authentic and beautiful stories that challenge Christians and non-Christians alike to rethink how they view the world.
We want to change that.

OUR VALUES
These are the things we esteem and are committed to achieving with Kingdom Pen
Kingdom
A giant part of Jesus’ ministry was centered around informing and educating others on the Kingdom of Heaven.
This Kingdom, in summary, is wherever what God wants to be done, is done.
One day every part of the universe will dwell inside this Kingdom, but for now, Satan is still the ruler of this world. (John 12:31, 1 John 5:19).
In the meantime, God has invited us to take part in his work to reclaim the world for the Kingdom Of Heaven.
There are many ways to do this, but at Kingdom Pen, one way we are committed to advance God’s Kingdom is by producing great fiction that changes lives, and points people back to God.
We want Kingdom Pen to be, if the Lord wills, an engine for changing the culture and advancing God’s Kingdom here on Earth.
Armory
In order to advance God’s Kingdom, we need writers like you publishing great fiction.
Here at Kingdom Pen, we want to be your armory and proving ground where you can get the equipment and training you need to embark on your writing quest.
We want to continually improve Kingdom Pen so that it can provide you with the tools, knowlege, and resources you need to as successful as you can possibly be.
Army
We don’t want you to have to embark on your quest alone!
We want Kingdom Pen to become a muster-field, not just for other Christian authors, but for Christian creatives of all kinds.
We want Kingdom Pen to be a place where you can come to receive support, encouragement, refreshment, and be sharpened as iron sharpens iron. (Proverbs 27:17)
We want Kingdom Pen to become an army; a whole that is stronger than the sum of its parts.
Become A “KeePer” Of Kingdom Pen
A KeePer is one who is committed to the mission and vision of Kingdom Pen, and wants to participate as well in this epic quest.
Are you committed to dedicating your writing and life to conform to a manner worthy of the Call?
Do you believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him? (Hebrews 11:6)
Are you ready to walk in the great works prepared beforehand for you? (Ephesians 2:10)
If so, we’d be honored have you join the Kingdom Pen army and become a knight (A KeePer) in this army. An army dedicated to taking back ground for the Kingdom of Heaven.
A KeePer not only of the haven of Kingdom Pen, but a KeePer and steward of The Promise, The Promise of eternal life for those who give their lives in service of The King. The King of kings.
Below you can find the “KeePer’s Kreed” and the “KeePer’s Battle Cry”, which are designed to be reminders to help you maintain your motivation and focus on your own personal writing quest as a KeePer of Kingdom Pen and The Kingdom.
The KeePer's Kreed
Devoted to Christ; Devoted to the Kingdom
Jesus tells that, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” – Matthew 22:36-40
We created the “KeePer’s Kreed” to be a summation of this instruction from Jesus, and a mantra to carry with you as go forth on your quest.
The KeePer's Battle Cry
“Rak Chazak Amats!”
Pronounced: [Rock] [Khaw-Zawk] [aw-motts]
Rak Chazak Amats is an ancient Hebrew war cry used before going into battle.
Joshua chapter one is a perfect example when God commanded Joshua to be “strong and courageous” and go into the land God had promised His people.
What has been translated into “strong and courageous” is actually “Rak Chazak Amats”.
Only, the English translation in that verse doesn’t quite capture the depth of that ancient phrase.
A better translation, according to Eric Ludy, would be:
Chazak: “The rock-like ‘oomph’ of the spiritually zealous heart. The game-face of a mighty man. Tenacity of soul. The gritting of the teeth of the spirit-inspired warrior, and the bearing of those teeth to the enemy. Chazak is possessing a resolute and growing resolve for the glory of God. A flush of spiritual fervor. A tensing of all a soldier’s muscles.
And so when you hear CHAZAK…your knuckes, spiritually, should turn white, and you should find yourself gritting your spiritual teeth with a beligerance against the enemy. He. Goes. DOWN!”
Amats: “Heavenly audacity. It’s rushing headlong into the most hazardous and impossible battles without pausing to consider the impossibilities. It’s David against Goliath. It’s confidence in victory even before the field is taken. It’s lambs moving with liquid ferocity straight into the lion’s lair. Amats means swift-footed, all-beliving, super-conquering, prevailing faith in the Lord of Battles. What happens to the world if Christians once again get Chazak and Amats?”
So as you inevitably encounter obstacles and attacks on your quest, remember this battle cry…
Rak Chazak! Chazak Amats!
Here is Eric Ludy’s short video which gives a much better explanation of this battle cry. A must watch!
