Hello, everyone!
For those of you who follow my blog, you might know what this is. π However, if you don’t, I’ll explain it!
So, I am daring all of you to do a writing challenge with me. I’m daring y’all to write 1,000 words or more every day – yes, you read that right – for a week.
This is easier than it sounds. You can work on one of your WIPs, on a new story idea…. anything. Just get 1k or more words of creative writing into your day for a week. I’ve been doing something similar, trying to reach word-count goals (going to try and aim for 5k more today, getting me to 30k!!) but will be doing this challenge, too.
It’s actually an awesome way to introduce some self-discipline into your writing, and setting goals for myself has motivated me and I’ve been getting a lot farther in my progress rather than the measly 200-500 words I would usually used to write every couple of days. Setting strict goals can really help.
I also created this topic so we can share our progresses. Every day (or whenever you feel like it) don’t be afraid to come back and talk about what you got through that day on here!!
If the response is well-met to this challenge, maybe I’ll set certain weeks (maybe in every other month or something) where we do the challenge again. I think this can really help for those of you who don’t feel productive. Check out the original post I made for more details here!
I’ll tag some people, and if you know anyone else who might be interested, tag ’em too!

March 17, 2021 at 2:07 pm #95740Ooo, this sounds like fun! But as my current WIP is in the editing stage, I may do this challenge another time. But still, good luck to y’all!

Would you mind letting me know
If hours don't turn into daysMarch 17, 2021 at 3:07 pm #95753@scripter-of-kingdoms Ooh this is such a fun idea! I unfortunately doubt that I’m going to be able to participate fully, though I may in a smaller way–maybe 100 words a day or something. Thanks for tagging me!!
βSeven seconds till the end. Time enough for you. Perhaps. But what will you do with it?β
March 17, 2021 at 3:13 pm #95756This is a great idea!! Unfortunately, since I’m beginning NaNoWriMo in April, however, I’m afraid I won’t be able to participate in this. But good luck to all who do! π Thanks for the tag, however!

March 18, 2021 at 9:56 am #95804@daisy-torres Great!! π
@scoutfinch180 Ok, hope your editing goes well!! π
@devastate-lasting Ok! The purpose of the challenge is just to be persistent in writing, so as long as you write, then it doesnβt matter how much you write!
@lewilliams Itβs ok if you participate in a smaller way! The purpose of the challenge is really just to be persistent with your writing. π
@writerlexi1216 Ok, good luck with NaNoWriMo!! Let me know how it goes please!! β€οΈ
@abigail-m Ooh, good luck with NaNoWriMo!!! Hope it goes well! Let me know how it works out! β€οΈstaring at the fields
