Hi! I love to read and write, and I have joined one other Christian teenage writing site besides this. I think my favorite writing genre is probably fantasy, along with fan fiction (if that counts). I’m considering writing some tips that I came up with after reading all your amazing articles!

I write historical romance (and some fantasy, and some contemporary, and some mystery, and some poetry–which is not yet fit for human consumption–and…yeah…a little bit of everything XD), and I love to read historical romance.

Here’s my WIP synopsis:
Seia has lived in isolation her whole life. With an abusive mother, few friends, and no prospects, there is only one thing keeping Seia from running away: her sister, Sadana. Seia’s only wish is to escape with Sadana and find a new life of peace and safety in a far off land. But then the unthinkable happens: Sadana is engaged to one of the most powerful and dangerous men in the empire. Thrown into a world of adventure, Seia must navigate her way through new friendships, danger, mystery, and romance, all to save her sister before it is too late…

I’m Joy Caroline, but as I tell all new friends, you can also call me JC, Joy, or Caroline… whichever rocks your boat! (LOL, that phrase is so cringeworthy.)
Anyways, I’m so happy to meet you! I write Biblical fiction, but I also think fantasy is so cool! Here are some questions for ya:
1. What’s your favorite book? Mine is To Kill a Mockingbird – have you read it? If not, you HAVE to read it right now… I’m not even joking. You HAVE to!!!
2. Favorite genre of music? Favorite song? Favorite artist? My favorite genre is Christian, and for that I like The Hoppers, Christian Edition, Gaither Vocal Band, Bethel, and Elevation the best. For pop music, I love Mariah Carey and Faouzia. My favorite song is “Jerusalem” by The Hoppers, and they would have to be my favorite group, though it’s super hard to choose.
3. Favorite color? Mine is light pink!
4. Favorite food? Mine is spaghetti! I love love love pasta.

I write mostly Star Wars fanfics, as well as a few Marvel ones. Most involve the same storyline and characters, but with augmented parts–such as the characters being part dragon, like this guy.

The longest book I’ve read is probably one of the books from the Keeper of the Lost Cities series. And no, I don’t currently have any pets, but I’ve owned two golden retrievers (at different times) and a beta fish.

Oooh, AWESOME!!!!!!! I’ve been actually really wanting to read Keeper of the Lost Cities! I hear sooo many good things about it!!! COOOL!!! Golden retrievers are just sooo cute, especially when they’re puppies!!!!!! I had a betta fish once!!

What are some of your hobbies, besides reading/writing? I enjoy dog training, drinking tea (that’s a hobby right?), drawing (not good at it, but whatever), knitting and sewing.
