I’ve been writing before I really could write.
What I mean is, my first books were written by my mom but dictated by me at about three years old. They were stapled together sheets of paper with hand-drawn illustrations. I read them sometimes, and I’m not sure if I quite follow the storyline…especially because some of the words probably aren’t even words. Or if they are, the spelling needs some work.
But anywho.
This post isn’t about my past (ahem) literary works. This post is about the book I’m publishing on Amazon.
Memory Lane Was Moved.
Ahh! What? Who moved it? I was planning a trip over there!
Calm down. Your memory lane is fine. It’s Travis who is having trouble with his.
Cue the synopsis…
When eleven-year-old Travis wakes up in a strange room with no memory, he embarks on an adventure of a lifetime. Teaming up with Sadie and her older brother Robert, Travis uncovers his past with surprising results. He encounters Larry, a mysterious man who appears to have known Travis before, and Lewis, an undersized fourteen-year-old who gets swept along into the adventure, as well.
Soon, Travis discovers that this whole thing is much bigger than he had at first realized. An elusive company called SCAM has been planning to release a product into the world that could jeopardize the nation’s security: a product known only as HANDSHAKE. Travis and his friends must work to stop that product from being released before it is too late.
This is a book I’ve been working on for about two years for ages 9-12 (approximately). And it will be available for FREE for five days after it is released (which is August 15th).

The synopsis sounds really cool, and FREE BOOK! Wow! Awesome! I love free stuff. (With exceptions of course, I quite dislike free poisonous blueberry cheesecake).
How did you get the idea for this story? Did something inspire you, or did the idea come out of nowhere?
