So, this is not one of my best poems but I will share it anyway since its about us. Let me know what you think.
Raspberry Blood
Wrapped in fog high upon a jagged hill,
The Kingdom of Pen apeared cold and stone still,
Cloaked in foreboding that chilled its strong walls,
As its last few defenders gazed down from the walls.
An eager, determined light shone in their eyes,
As they sought out a plan and set out their spies,
To regain their Kingdom, now deserted by most,
Who apparently prefered to sit by embers and roast.
So they vowed that ’til they were old and gray,
They would stick with eachother and their Kingdom to stay,
And with tattered capes and boots caked with mud,
They wiped away tears of raspberry blood. Not far from there a crackling gathering lay,
Where traitorous kapeefers had decided to stay,
A place lit by torches and blazing fires,
Sizzling with conversation and piles of paper pyres.
And the loyal kapeefers who frequented there,
Were saddened and upset that no one cared,
For their Kingdom, which though held few, was still not lost,
But remained a noble and lofty cause.
So they gritted their teeth as they departed SE,
And returned with the news to those at KP,
Who grimly and with anticipation stood,
While their heavy, ready hearts bled raspberry blood.Sheathes holding knitting needles and pens,
Were carried for attack on the Emberians,
The few who returned found little grace,
But were accused and scolded to their face.
But how can we be silent and tiptoe around war?
We want peace, but we want our Kingdom back more!
Deserters, traitors, runaways, spies,
That which may fall will yet again rise!
Thus we write a declaration of our loyalty,
And parade it through the Kingdom for all to see,
So we stand here in torn capes and boots caked with mud,
And sign our Declaration in raspberry blood.tagging @rochellaine @alia @seekjustice @dekreel @catwing @kaya-young @sam-kowal @valtmy @other-loyal-kapeefers-I-cant-remember 😛

May 26, 2018 at 11:27 am #73284@ariel-ashira Oh wow! I love it! My favorite part is
“To regain their Kingdom, now deserted by most,
Who apparently prefered to sit by embers and roast.”🙂 lol 🙂
The Kingdom has been torn asunder...

I have a thought. If we put all of our signatures together, what would they say? lol
"In a mask, was he?"
May 26, 2018 at 11:39 am #73286@ariel-ashira I’m not sure… “The Kingdom has been torn asunder and there may come a day when kapeefers and enberlings live in peace, but it is not today!”
Hmm. That doesn’t really make sense.
The Kingdom has been torn asunder...

“The Kingdom has been torn asunder with an army of origami cranes and a sabre from Babylon.”

"In a mask, was he?"
May 26, 2018 at 12:01 pm #73291@ariel-Ashira Wow… We KaPeeFer on! *sobs* Raspberry blood. That’s lovely.
When we sign the declaration we should use red ink. (But the one @sam-Kowal shows to SE can omit the names so the spies remain secret.)
When will that declaration be ready @rochellaine ?IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
May 26, 2018 at 12:06 pm #73292@catwing Red ink! Perfect idea!

Wow. That was pretty inspiring.
You can pronounce it however you want.
May 26, 2018 at 11:31 pm #73331@ariel-ashira Wow, that’s an amazing poem! I love it!!!
@catwing *hides* when I promised to get it done “as soon as possible” I forgot that we would be out of state all weekend. We’re visiting some friends, but we’re staying at a hotel near them, so basically I’m only able to be on my computer at the hotel before 9:00 a.m. or after 11:00 p.m., like right now. So I’m not getting much work or play done at all. I’ve made a little progress, but I’m not sure when exactly it’ll be done.If someone else wants to take the mantle of writing the declaration on their shoulders, please let me know and I’ll be happy to send you the document!! I don’t care if I write it or not as long as it gets written. (But note, if you don’t tell me before 8:00 or 9:00 tomorrow morning I’ll not be able to get back to you until late that night or Monday. 😉 )
Tagging @jenwriter17 @alia @kaya-young Ariel, and Catwing in case any of you want to try your hand at finishing the Declaration. If not, I will try to get it done by Monday (evening) but can’t promise, since we’ll be driving home all day Monday.
