By KayleighAnne E. Stanton
Death is not a parting place
It doesn’t mean someone is gone
Because if you held onto faith
Your story’s just begun
Death is not the final race
There’s a longer round to go
Another gift of the Savior’s grace
And the mercy he bestowed
Death is not the final base
There’s another game to win
Love against the winter’s brace
His atonement for our sin
Death is not an endless chase
For that too has an end
Victory has been found today
My good and loyal friend
Death is not a darkness trace
God has called her home
But she always held her pace
And that’s why she’s not alone
Death is not a parting place
Eternity is found
Surely she has forever grace
Where life and light abound
