Okay, so I’m reading the Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis for the first time. Needless to say, it’s amazing.
But I’m stuck on the third ghost (I think) that the narrator watches in the Valley of the Shadow of Life. It’s the ghost who tries to steal one of the apples, then the waterfall tells him to put it down, that he can’t take it back to Hell, yet the ghost runs off with the apple.
What exactly is that encounter supposed to mean? I’ve been pondering it for hours and can’t understand it 😛

@Audrey-caylin I fear I haven’t read this one, but it sounds quite interesting. And a little confusing. 😛 I wish you luck in figuring it out. XD
