Has anybody ever written a haiku?? I’ve written a few…

Stars dotting the sky
Moonlight shining down at me
Shooting stars fly by (My very first haiku 🙂 )

Mom bought me white shoes
I wore them to summer camp
They ain’t white no more

Dreary, long-drawn rain
Whispering its secrets to
The listening earth

Here is my Haiku
Wait, that wasn’t the first line!
Let me start over

For those of you who don’t know, a haiku is a three-line poem with five syllables on the first line, seven on the second line, then five again on the third line

You can pronounce it however you want.

I’ve never really written haikus outside of what was required for my writing class last semester…I had to submit a few for peer review and I got an A on that assignment, so I guess that’s good?
