Hi everyone,
I just joined Kingdom Pen a few days ago. This is a wonderful site; thank you all for putting it together. I have learned so much from your articles.
I have always been an avid reader, but I didn’t start writing until about a year ago. I have started a novel about World War II, but it is far from finished. This summer, my brothers and I also wrote an opera on the book of Job.August 1, 2015 at 12:40 pm #4059An opera on the book of Job? Sounds awesome. I’m very impressed. Let me know when it is showing in the theaters.

Wow writing an opera is quite the accomplishment! Way to go! Keep going on your novel, World War II is a fascinating time in history to bring a story to life.https://rolenahatfield.com/

August 12, 2015 at 5:31 pm #4232Man! An opera on the book of Job?? That’s crazy! Did y’all perform it? I don’t think my brothers would ever agree to something like that… 😉
August 12, 2015 at 5:58 pm #4234Yes, we performed it. It was a lot of fun, although my singing was awful.
August 12, 2015 at 11:34 pm #4245Hi! I’m Hannah, or WaterSnail or snail. Whatever you want to call me is fine. It’s nice to meet you. 😀
So what got you into writing then?August 13, 2015 at 9:52 am #4248Hi, Hannah, it’s nice to meet you! WaterSnail is a very interesting name; how did you acquire it?
Well, I think two things got me into writing: a) my favorite author, Bodie Thoene, and b) the deplorable lack of good books in the library (especially in the Children’s and Young Adult sections). Bodie Thoene’s series on the Holocaust inspired me to be willing to die for what I believe and risk my life for others. I wanted to impact other people the way she had impacted me, so I started writing my own story about the Holocaust. I began to realize how much I didn’t know about writing, so I read her book, Writer to Writer. I think it was that book that convinced me to become a writer. (That’s the long answer ?).

August 13, 2015 at 11:30 am #4257P.S. That’s how I became an official writer. I’ve been inventing stories in my head for as long as I can remember.
August 13, 2015 at 11:42 am #4259Wow, that’s such a cool story, Sarah!! 😀 I love it!
