Hello everyone!! My name is WritingWren, but you can call me Wren!
I have been writing my whole life, but started to take it more seriously when my mom purchased me a writing curriculum two years ago.
I have written two books already, one I wrote in a year and it will never see the light of day XD The other, my passion project, is on the shelf for now.
Currently I am writing a thriller, and six chapters in.
My hobbies are reading, writing of course, gardening, gaming and so many others.
I love to read my Bible and am a bit a of a nerd when it comes to the Bible 😛
I’m so glad to be here, and excited to get to know you all!!
"If God led you to it, he will lead you through it and carry you out of it."
Hello hello! I’m so glad you’ve gotten on KP at last!
I’m Ellette! I’m an author if fantasy, dystopian, and Historical fiction for middle grade, YA, and adults. I am also the owner of a publishing company, a content editor, and an artist/graphic designer.
What are some of your top favorite books?
If you could pick to spend a week with one of your characters, who would it be, and why?
What fantasy weapon would you like to own?
So glad to have you!
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who couldn't hear the music
Welcome to the Kingdom! I write middle-grade fantasy (currently involving way too much stained glass), poetry (occasionally penned, though rarely shared), and youth fiction (although my main project there is on the back burner so…). I’m a twin, a full-time university student, a history/culture nerd, and a hand-crafting enthusiast (who may or may not have a habit of getting herself into projects way too big for her).
I also love parentheses (as if that isn’t obvious).
Oooi!! Bible nerds are the best kind of nerds. What’s your current favorite find?
And here’s a couple Ask-The-Newbie questions: *ahem*
- If you could ride a dragon for a day, or own a horse for a lifetime, which would you choose?
- Do Jellybeans count as food?
A cup of tea is cheaper than therapy.
Hello, Wren! My name is QuicksilverWyvern (though you can just call me Quicksilver or Wyvern, I don’t mind) and I like to write mostly epic fantasy with hints of other genres. I also have a ridiculous amount of other hobbies, though I’m definitely not equally great at all of them, lol! My dream job is to be an author and eventually a business-owner.
That’s awesome that you’ve already written two books. Huge accomplishment! What writing curriculum did your mom by you, out of curiosity?
There once was a snail who was depressed and would do anything for his girlfriend. Didn't end well.
Oh yes! Thank you! Hmm. Favorite books : A Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers, Farenheight 451 by Ray Bradbury and Animal Farm by George Orwell!
I would spend a week with my charrie Reverie!
I’d want a weapon that shoots ice 😛

Do Jellybeans count as food?

Oh thanks you! And nice to meet you!

I am wondering, where would I post my projects? Like the full thing? Is that how it’s done on here?

Hi, I like your username! I’m HighScribe. I write fantasy, read books, and draw.
By ‘gamer’ do you mean video games or board games (or something else)? I like both. Either way what do you like to play?
Where do your novels take place? Modern day, history, fantasy/sci-fi worlds? I’m not familiar with the thriller genre so I’m not sure how that usually works.
It’s so cool that you’ve finished two books, and in response to your question, you should make your own topic (probably under critiques but you can do whatever). People usually either post chapter-by-chapter as they write or refine it or post a link to a google doc (or something similar). So it depends on what you want to do.
I will see you around!

If you have a doc that you would like feedback/editing/critiques/etc. on, you can go to the forum and scroll to “Fiction Writing” from there go to critiques and pick “Novel Idea” for draft and outline and idea feedback, “Novel Critiques” for full drafts or chapter-by-chapter, or “Short Story” for short stories.
Click on which one you want and start a topic. Then you can post chapter by chapter, or link a google or Word doc and people can leave comments on your project!
Hope that helps!

Nice! I think I’ve heard of that program before. Out of curiosity, what were the books you wrote about?
There once was a snail who was depressed and would do anything for his girlfriend. Didn't end well.
HELLOOOOO WREN. I AM STELLYBEAN, BUT YOU MAY CALL ME STELLY, BEAN, OR WHATEVER ELSE.
IIIII am out of questions. Good day. 😂

Hellooooo! Welcome to the Kingdom of Pen!
I’m Elishavet around here, as you can tell from my profile name. I write a smattering of things from short stories and poems to a YA epic that is in time out for being too ambitious. Currently, I mostly write nonfiction (college essays) and have just begun a rustic/high fantasy thing I’m calling Songs in Starlight. It’s about a bunch of people who get lost and find their way home. Basically, giving and taking a few details.
I’m a bit of a nerd when it comes to most things like literature, fashion/cultural history, and definetely the Bible. It’s the best thing to be nerdy about.
Which brings me back to you.
First, CONGRATULATIONS on writing two books! It sounds like you have some great skills built up. What is your favorite part of your process? What’s your least favorite?
And some other questions…
What kind of plants have you worked with? What are your favorite?
What is your favorite name in the Bible? (Mine is Mahershallalhashbaz for obvious reasons)
Still a ChaosGremlin™ on the inside.
Thanks so much!!
"If God led you to it, he will lead you through it and carry you out of it."
Yeah!
Okay, so the first one I wrote was a spy mystery/triller it was my first novel, and therfore my trash novel XD Idk what it was about tbh… it was crazy.. I pansted it fully lol My second is a Biblical Allagory, like Pilgrims Progress meets Hinds Feet in High Places. Its about the village outcast who learns of a kingdom and sets out to find it.
