If you could have any course on fiction writing, what kind of course would it be?
Would you like a course on:
Dialog, World-Building, How to write a novel, etc. What kind of course would you most like to have/would benefit the most from?

OrpheusAudioAcademy.comMay 11, 2016 at 9:08 pm #12836Oh boy, I struggle with a lot of little things. Like, writing fluid prose, mastering emotion, getting the sense of timing just right, not being too choppy, picking the right tense, etc.
??????????????????????
May 11, 2016 at 9:41 pm #12842Urgh… yikes, that’s a difficult question. Probably characterization— I don’t struggle with that, but it’s one of those things I feel like I can never study enough of or understand as fully as I should. There’s just so much to learn!
Um… other than that… let’s see… novel structure? Character arcs? (Or would that be in with characterization…?) Telling vs. showing?
Wow, I could do with a course on just about anything. 😛 Sorry, I don’t guess that was much help. 😀
I’ll let you know if I come up with anything else.May 11, 2016 at 9:50 pm #12843Dialog for definite. 🙂 My conversations never sound that real. *They sound more like they are in a book rather than really life* 😀

OrpheusAudioAcademy.comMay 12, 2016 at 2:41 am #12847Oh dear, that’s a hard question. Hmm… I would probably pick plot structure, novel structure, characterization, or something like that. I don’t know if I could choose between those, though. 🙂

I would enjoy a course on strengthening prose.
May 12, 2016 at 6:28 pm #12856@reaganramm I could benefit from a class teaching methods and ideas of ways to stay motivated in my writing and editing.
Theater kid. Currently depressed because I can't stop listening to sad musicals.
May 12, 2016 at 6:54 pm #12857@reaganramm Ooo, that’s so hard! I would probably choose a course on characterization, plotting, world-building, or showing vs. telling.
May 12, 2016 at 8:32 pm #12862@reaganramm That’s hard…characterization, perhaps. Tips on how to create real unique characters, both in depth ones for MCs and also flatter ones for secondary and minor characters.
INTJ - Inhumane. No-feelings. Terrible. Judgment and doom on everyone.
May 13, 2016 at 9:35 am #12877@reaganramm probably prose, characterization, or plotting. Those are what I struggle with the most.
May 13, 2016 at 10:35 am #12878Wow, looks like characterization is stealing the show! 😀
May 15, 2016 at 8:25 am #12905Characterization, dialogue and narration. Possible together, though that may be a bit much. Maybe I just want something about voice, though that’s more of an individual thing that can’t be taught.
May 16, 2016 at 3:41 pm #12951Hmm… Probably Characterization, plotting, or world-building would be my vote here…
