You have the ability to read a book for the first time again, which book would you choose? Why?
Okay, this is such a cop-out, but I genuinely don’t have an answer to this.
Maybe it’s because I haven’t read enough books, or maybe it’s because I really like rereading books so reading them for the first time again hasn’t really been something I’ve ever wanted.
I hope you guys have a better answer than me lol. I’m promptly going to go read some mystery novel with a big life-altering plot twist that shatters my whole existence so that I will have an answer to this question. š
There are so many choices, but I’d have to say Harry Potter. No spoilers, but there are so many things i heard even before reading the books that there were sadly very few surprises. If I could go back and re-read everything with no knowledge of the series, I 100% would!
Off the top of my head, The Chronicles of Narnia. I listened to the Focus on the Family version growing up (which was amazing), but when I finally picked up the books, I already practically knew them by heart. So, in a way, I never got to read it for the “first time” because I already knew the stories so well.

If hours don't turn into daysHmm, that’s a hard question. There are so many books I’d like to momentarily forget the plot twists of so I could enjoy the surprise again. Especially when listening to these books with other people and trying not to spoil anything.
Just off the top of my head, though, I’d say the Wingfeather Saga, The Green Ember series, or the Promise of Zion series, particularly Brother Enemy and Freedom Trap, since a certain plot twist was spoiled for me.
You’ve listened to the Focus on the Family version too? My family (myself included) love it. We’ve listened to it so much and for so long that now the Focus on the Family Radio Theater intro music always makes me think of Narnia.
Which is an interesting mental image to open up Ben-Hur on. XD

Enemy Brother for sure. I love that book and the whole decision Max makes at the end is so much more emotional when I donāt know itās coming and I just love being introduced to and falling in love with Dym, so getting to do it over again fresh would just be like discovering reading again. āŗļø And anyway, thatās a good book, fresh or reread. (Go read it if you havenāt! It is very good.)

Iād either choose The Mysterious Benedict Society (cause both its major plot twists were spoiled for me before I read itš¢) or the Mark of the Lion series by Francine Rivers. Because. The. End. Of. The. Second. Book. Was. So. GOOD.
Honestly, reading that for the first time was epic.
Itās funny. The books I go into with low expectations always end up being my favourites ā¦ has anyone else experienced this?

Thatās my wish to create.Ooo, yeah. I feel like Harry Potter would be one of those series so many people would love to read for the first time again. Especially because it’s really nostalgic for a lot of people as well. It’d be kinda like reliving a piece of your childhood.
Narnia would be so fun to read for the first time again! I wonder what it’d be like reading it without any idea or spoilers about the story. I feel like at this point no one can read Narnia without some idea of what it’s about.
I’ll definitely have to check that Enemy BrotherĀ out!
Anyone who loves surprises always fears the dreaded spoilers. I’ve had quite of few books and movies spoiled for me and I always can’t help to wonder while reading or watching it what it’d be like to experience the book/ movie knowing nothing about it before.
