@trahia-the-minstrel I decided to move over here because I didn’t want to take up too much space on your introduction topic. You can tag other people for this topic…you know what? @elfwing You were also interested in my dragons, so I’ll tag you too.
So, basically, here I’m going to tell you about the Dragonmen–my [usually Star Wars-derived] half-dragon, half-man characters. The different kinds and their names, myths and legends relating to them, drawings of what they look like, etc. I might also do it for some of my other sentient species. Feel free to do the same for creatures you’ve created yourselves! I’d love to see or hear about them!
Here’s an example: a CloneWing Dragon!

October 19, 2021 at 5:33 pm #106397@elfwing @trahia-the-minstrel @elanor Thanks, all of you!
Cool facts about CloneWings:
- The spikes of a CloneWing aren’t detachable, unlike those of a similar dragon, the Rebelwhip. (If I can find a good picture of one of those I will!)
- The technical name for this type is the Mandalore Ice Dragon. But the name “CloneWing” caught on when the species was the one picked to create the Republic’s clone army. (Star Wars reference)
- The typical color for CloneWings is white and blue (the one in the drawing is an exception). They are designed for the ice–not only do their scale colors camouflage, but they can tolerate freezing temperatures and actually breathe ice instead of fire!
- Compounds in a CloneWing’s blood make it look bluish when it’s cold and violet-red when it’s warm. Their body temperature is lower than most dragonmen’s (and humans’). If you shined a light into one of these dragons’ eyes, it’d reflect back blue instead of red.
Part of that I made up, part of it was based off the Wings of Fire book series.

October 22, 2021 at 12:50 pm #106530This picture’s pretty self-explanatory.
Facts about JediWings:
- Not all “JediWings” are part of the Jedi Order, but they were given their name because the majority of them are. And of course, the scorpion-like barb on the end of the dragon’s tail is a little bit like a lightsaber!
- These dragons’ body temperature is slightly warmer than ours, and their talons can tolerate the scorching heat of desert sand.
- They are firebreathers (but don’t do it as often as some kinds), and can even go without water for longer than other dragonmen (and humans)

October 22, 2021 at 1:05 pm #106531@trahia-the-minstrel I know you already saw this one, but he’s the only Stewjon Four-Winged drawing I have, so…..
Facts about Stewjon Four-Wingeds:
- They’re rare. Much more so than other dragonmen kinds.
- They’re awesome. Pure awesome. I mean, four wings, gills and webbed talons, fire, catlike ears (which work just like cats’ or dogs’)âŚWhat’s not to like? One of the few dragonman types which could match one of these in battle is the MandaloreWing–but that’s a discussion for another time.
- The smaller wings are for maneuvering in flight–and the Stewjon Four-Winged is not the only one to have them. Their distant relative, the Singeprime, also has the four wing design.

October 22, 2021 at 4:05 pm #106537âHello there.â
Niceđ What type is a Singeprime? Also, youâve made me super curious about the MandaloreWing now.đ
Also, I think the Stewjon Four-Wing is my favourite type of Star Wars dragon â cause whatâs not to like?

Thatâs my wish to create.October 24, 2021 at 4:11 pm #106563@trahia-the-minstrel I have pictures of Singeprimes and MandaloreWings, but I’ll have to find them and upload them.
In the meantime, here’s a diagram of a typical dragonman skeleton:

Thatâs my wish to create.October 26, 2021 at 12:13 pm #106588@trahia-the-minstrel Ugh, I’ll have to repost it. And I’ll get a good Singeprime picture so you can see what they look like.
In the meantime, some facts about MandaloreWings, since you said you were curious: (I don’t have a good picture yet, sorry)
- They’re wyverns, meaning their wings are attached to their arms instead of coming out of their backs. This is why they invented jetpacks–so they can use their wing-arms for fighting in the air and not have to worry about falling out of the sky.
- They have the hottest fire of all dragonmen kinds. And they are (mostly) immune to it.
- The spikes ringing a MandaloreWing’s tail are detachable and can be shot at enemies (kinda like Stormfly from How To Train Your Dragon)
- I’m pretty sure these dragons have some kind of mild venom.
So, basically they’re almost as awesome as the Stewjon Four-Winged.
But then imagine a Four-Winged/MandaloreWing hybrid–now THAT would be quite the spectacle! (and yes, hybrids of dragonman kinds are possible–and many do exist.)
