If you had the choice to write full time, and be fully supported in terms of cash flow, would you still choose to have (an)other job(s)? You could still write and be paid, but you would have to balance writing with non-writing work.
In my opinion, having personal experience with jobs has helped my writing become better, because I have the pressure of managing my time properly
and I only work under pressureand have gained life skills and lessons that come from working in a variety of settings. That being said I don’t work a nine to five job or anything I’m just a teenage jack of all trades lolSo how about you? would you opt for becoming a better known and talented writer by having maximum time each day writing, or would you prefer gaining experience in other areas? which would (or has) make you a better writer in the long run?
I can't think of anything witty at the moment.
June 7, 2021 at 1:27 am #100518I would write and choose to have another job. I’m a firm believer that you won’t have many good experiences to write about if you don’t go and experience them in the first place. Having another job can introduce you to new tasks, new team dynamics, and new personalities to observe and learn from. Also, having another (interesting) job can be fun and a nice way to take a break from writing all the time!
What jobs have you enjoyed doing aside from writing?
June 7, 2021 at 7:13 am #100519@relia I’d choose to have another job as well, either as a dog trainer or a speech pathologist. I love writing, but it could never be more of a side job for me. I’m a hands on person and I would need to be out in the world in order to actually write good things.

Lately, it's been on my brain
Would you mind letting me know
If hours don't turn into daysJune 7, 2021 at 10:53 am #100537That’s a really good question… As much as I want to write full-time (which is pretty much what I do now), I think having other jobs is a good way to gain experience in different areas.
