@valtmy You can public message a few people and then share the doc directly with them.

  • @dekreel Well, not as good as Cry The Beloved Country or Dreamlander, but, you know, pretty good. Lots of happiness vibes.

  • @dekreel As a connoisseur of endings, I have to say you did a great job. Now I love Kingdom Pen even more. 🙂

Alright, here’s how my crazy idea will work if you’re willing to join on. Basically, I want to hire you as a short term ambassador for me.

Here’s the details. It requires that you think other people would like to read my stories. The work you’d do is contact people you know and briefly share this link with them where they can get an…[Read more]

@daeus Okay! That makes sense! (Is this where I ask the questions, or do I email you?)

So I’m looking on your link. Basically when people push it does it automatically sign them up for your newsletter?

One problem is I don’t use social media… Could I print out some advertisements and give them out at church or school? Would texting also…[Read more]

You can contact me here if you prefer it to email, yes.

You’re correct that when someone signs up for the book, they are subscribed. (Fyi, the newsletter goes out about once a month.)

You know what, thanks for the suggestion about tracking visitors. I realized I’m able to do something of the sort. This is your personal link for getting signups.…[Read more]

@daeus Oh, wow, thanks! I’ve already sent out the link to a couple friends and family… 😉 Or is it too early for that? o.o

When you say “collect subscribers manually,” do you mean keep track of who signs up for the newsletter and making a log out of it? I think that makes sense…

Mannn, I wish my server would let me download your…[Read more]

Yeah, you can get started now and you have the right idea with the signup sheet. Just two columns with the name and email.

If you want to email me, I can manually send you the book as soon as I get a chance.

    • Daeus replied 6 years ago

Hmm. Maybe a browser issue? I just tried it and it worked for me.

      Hi @dekreel,

I wanted to check in and see how things are going.

I saw one person signed up through your link so far. Great job!!!

One of the reasons I asked if you’d like to volunteer for this is because I could use some practice mentoring people through how to do this. So if it’s fine by you, I would really appreciate it if I could have a…[Read more]

Hiya, @daeus! It’s going pretty well. Thanks for checking in. 🙂 Good! That’s something. XD

So far I have only reached out to about four or five people. Mostly family and a couple friends. I did most of it over text messages, saying something like, “A friend of mine recently published his book, and I was wondering if you’d like to read it for…[Read more]

        • Daeus replied 6 years ago

Ah, glad you were able to read it! @dekreel

You can call yourself an ambassador or promoter person. Whichever you like. 🙂

That text looks good, though if you don’t mind, I think it would be great if we could experiment with some slightly different texts to see if we can get better results. So, right now, a quarter of the people you’ve…[Read more]

Oh, yeah. And you don’t need to be too formal. Friendly is good.

  • @dekreel No, you wouldn’t have to read anything of mine, but it would be best if you did. I’m going to message you with the details.

Hi @juliawrites4christ. Welcome to the bestistest place on the internet! Love your username.

What inspired you to become a writer?

  • Hi friends,

I come up with a lot of crazy ideas and recently I came up with one that might actually be half decent. I want to give it a test run though before I give it a big push. For that, I could use some help. Here’s what I’m looking for:

    • You’re an enthusiastic person who likes to experiment
    • You’re willing to put in a small amount of…

  • @kaymart We’d actually ask you to post topics like this in the novel critique forum (I’m going to go ahead and move it there), but if you want to keep track of all your posts, you can click the hyperlink on your name and then navigate to “forums” where you will find all of the topics you have started.

Hi @kaymart! Welcome to the bestistest place on the internet!

We’re really glad to have you no matter where you are on your writing journey. Honestly, most of us join on here as beginners, but it’s a really good place to grow.

What got you into book cover design?

  • Daeus replied to the topic Introducing Myself in the forum Start HERE 6 years, 1 month ago

@ariel-ashira lol I’m really only a king because @dragon-snapper made me one. That and the fact that I obviously have a superlative nose. 😉 😛

@dekreel I have heard of that movie. I haven’t watched it yet, but I really want to.

  • @that_writer_girl_99 Oh, dear. Sympathy is not really my strong suit. Maybe it will get better? It will probably get better. Yeah, it will get better.

Boy, I wish I knew more about this.

I suppose though this isn’t much different from coming up with a brand new story idea though, is it?

I might follow a process like this.

@mark-kamibaya Oh, yeah. You’re a Bob Jones guy. I didn’t see Grounded or Created and Redeemed, but my mom saw Created and Redeemed and told me it was really good.

  • Daeus replied to the topic Favorite Movies in the forum Film 6 years, 1 month ago

    Hi friends,

I just came back from The Christian Worldview Film Festival, if any of you have heard of that. Basically, all I did was watch Christian films for three days, so I thought I’d share my opinions on what I watched.

    Feature films:
Altar Egos. This film has a tacked on theme and is not very moving, but it is super hilarious!
    Like Arrows.…[Read more]

@filewriterbase13x Welcome to the bestistest place on the internet!

I’m glad to meet someone else who writes in many genres. 😀 Are there any genres you want to write in the future?

  • @rochellaine I love your poetry, though I agree this isn’t as good as your other ones. My best guess for why this is is that the poem doesn’t contain much imagery. Probably, you should focus on the imagery of the dragon for different forms of symbolism and then somewhere in there creatively connect the dragon symbolism to fear. (Notice how I…[Read more]
