@winter-rose 😛 It can be Daeus’ castle if you think it looks like it. Maybe a gate leading to the courtyard?
@rachelle A landscape can take me anywhere from five minutes (that really quick sketch with the creek) or the more detailed landscapes, such as the lake one or the road one will take me two hours or so. Usually two hours. Hiccup took me fifteen minutes or so.
@ethryndal I had reference pictures, and usually do. Even when I’m doing people for the Character Art Exchange, I’ll often have to study people or look in a mirror to get the shadows right. I’m (unfortunately) not very good at drawing from memory. Do you use reference pictures?

@winter-rose I am not pestered. 😛 I know I’m taking forever about it. Now that I’ve finished school I should have more time to work on it, and I plan to try. Sorry it’s taking forever.

@dragon-snapper Ah, cool! Yeah, I use reference pictures too. Mostly with architecture and stuff. I used to need them with people too, but after much trial and error and studying, I think I’ve gotten their shading down pretty well.
I would like to add: I’ve been following all the art on the Art Exchange thingy, and it’s incredible how much your skill has grown just since the thread started. Every single picture you share is better than the last. I’m seriously impressed. 🙂
