So I’m looking for some new suggestions for books to read. I’ve read Christian Romance with a passion for many years but I’ve come to a time in my life were I’m sick of it. I’m not interested in fantasy or Sci-Fi but do y’all have some other suggestions? What are some of your favorite christian books and authors?

I really liked The Green Ember series. I also love Lamplighter publishing books! All The books are from the 17-1900’s and they are all Christian based.

If you’re interested in nonfiction or historical fiction, let me know, because I have a lot more suggestions in those arenas. 😀

Eagle of the Ninth is one I will eternally recommend. 😉

Also, Ranger’s Apprentice. It’s not really fantasy.

Sherwood Ring (This is a romance, but not a Christian one, but I don’t think there were any problems with it. Mostly it’s a hilarious, exciting mystery involving Revolutionary War-era ghosts.)

Thanks everyone! I haven’t read any of these books. Any other classical book suggestions? I’ve read quite a bit of the classics but not all, I’m sure.

@lifeofkatie I do like nonfiction and historical fiction. Fire away!

The Ascendance Trilogy by Jennifer Nielsen. Not fantasy, not historical fiction. *shrugs* But awesome. Also not Christian, but not horrible either. No evolution. *shrugs*

    Johnny Tremain.

@dragon-snapper, @epicaddie2, I just finished the Ascendance Trilogy. I absolutely adore it 💗. Btw, Dragon-snapper, I like your new profile pic!

@hannah-c Elizabeth George Speare books are good. The Count of Monte Cristo is good. Louisa May Alcott books are good. What Katy Did books are good. John J. Horn books are awesome. Baker Family Adventures are great. The Eagle of the Ninth (from the Roman Britain Trilogy, which is all awesome) is good.
